The video-game Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back was published for the Atari 2600 in 1982 by Parker Brothers, and it was the first video-game with Star Wars content.

This arcade-style game takes place on Hoth with AT-ATs attacking the Rebel base. The player is flying a snowspeeder in which the player tries to shoot down the Imperial Walkers before they reach the shield generator or destroy all snowspeeders.
