Overview

  • Maxo Vista won a record-breaking five events in the Galactic Games on Berrun.
  • Jedi Master Jorus C'Baoth travelled to Alderaan to help determine the correct succession for the position of Viceroy of Alderaan. After over a month, he and other Jedi determined that Bail Organa was the rightful heir.
  • The planet Yashuvhu was rediscovered by the Republic vessel Pathfinder III. The Republic force were surprised to find scattered human settlement and Force Adepts within the population, who grew from the bloodline of the Jedi who crashed there millennia ago.
  • In light of the Trade Federation's leaders, the Neimoidians, intent of the ultimately disastrous blockade of Naboo, two other Trade Federation species, the Filordi and Caarites, broke from the Trade Federation and formed the Metatheran Cartel and began to expose Neimoidian policies in the Cularin system. They began to replace the Trade Federation as the major economic power in the system, while the Trade Federation could only counter by hiring pirate bands to harass the Cartel.
  • When Republic citizens on Mayvitch 7 (one of the moons of Amador) were attacked by the Yinchorri, the Jedi Council were asked for assistance. The Jedi had already tried for peace with the Yinchorri when two Jedi Knights were send to Yinchorr, but the their mutilated bodies were delivered to Supreme Chancellor Valorum. After a Jedi task force were sent to Yinchorri to investigate the situation, Supreme Chancellor Valorum managed to get enough votes to pass a resolution in the Senate to create a blockade and embargo against the Yinchorri. The Jedi on Yinchorr, escaped from the world with their wounded and dead. The Jedi task force headed for the Yinchorri command planet, as Chancellor Valorum sent the Republic Navy to attack the same location. They arrived at almost the same time, and as the Navy covered them, the Jedi flew their vessel into and through the planetoid, destroying the Yinchorri operation. The quarantine of the Yinchorri system began.
  • Ebe Endocott, a proficient podracer, finished first in the semi-pro Podrace on Malastare for the third time.
  • The patriarch of Ootoola was killed by a Purist movement. All other members of his family, with the exception of his daughter, the princess, were also killed. The Purist Council became the new government of the planet.
  • TaggeCo formed a partnership with the Trade Federation, as several members of its Executive Board were House of Tagge loyalists.
  • On Ootoola, the last remaining royal of the old government was smuggled off the planet.
  • Republic diplomats visited Cerea three times.
  • Saboteurs shut down Lommite Limited conveyors on Dorvalla.
  • The Republic attempted to gain the entry of the planet Cerea. Cerea, however, refused to join based on their anti-technology stance, which caused internal debate on the world due to Republic-friendly interference.
  • Trade Federation vessels fell under attack from a group of Nebula Front pirates. On Coruscant, this latest assault by the militaristic wing of the Nebula Front against the Trade Federation put Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum in a difficult situation. He was being asked to either have the Republic protect trade regions, or allow the Trade Federation to build their own internal army for protection. The Chancellor proposed that the Trade Federation be allowed to build up their armaments, while taxing their trade routes to compensate. Senator Palpatine proposed a summit on Eriadu, which went ahead. Due to an unfortunate series of events, the Trade Federation's own battle droids accidentally fired upon the Trade Federation directorate.
  • An assassination attempt by Nebula Front assassins against Supreme Chancellor Valorum was thwarted by Jedi.
  • Information was uncovered which seems to implicate Supreme Chancellor Valorum in bribery allegations.
  • Supreme Chancellor Valorum's taxation proposal passed in the Senate, but the victory was short-lived as Bail Antilles brought Valorum before the courts on corruption charges. It appeared that the taxation and plan for tax money to help flood back into the Rim, thereby helping its markets, had prompted a large amount of new investment in Valorum family's business interests on Eriadu. The situation ultimately had the appearance of Valorum being paid off by the Trade Federation.
  • With the deaths of several Kuati members of the Trade Federation's Executive Board, Kuat Drive Yards turned its back on the Trade Federation and joined forces with the Republic.
  • In a similar fashion to Kuat Drive Yards, Tagge Company (TaggeCo) severed their ties with the Trade Federation as well. In the case of TaggeCo, though, they remained neutral through the upcoming Clone Wars.
