Just what are you?! This article or section needs to be explained to the Logistics Officer. We have no idea just what this is, if you would kindly explain it to us, we would be a lot happier.

Arkes is an arid planet, covered with vast expanses of desert. During the day, temperatures can reach lethal levels although that hasn't kept a few brave groups of people from settling it.

From the air, this planet seems hostile to life and it is nearly impossible to believe that anything could survive on the surface; however, it does have a natural ecosystem with a wide array of flora and fauna. All of these creatures and plants thrive, though not on the surface of the planet. Below the sands, endless warrens house animals great and small, along with some plants that do not require sunlight.
