Biography
Djapana has had quite an odd life. Born almost entirely Human, to a Human father and Twi'lek mother, he was the son of two Old Republic Intelligence agents. Unbeknownst to him, they had joined the Rebellion. And once the Emperor caught them out, his parents were executed for treason. Djapana was only 9. He spent the rest of his youth in the care of a Rodian family, who taught him the skills of the hunt. At the age of 14, he won his first hunt trophy, for a Ralltiir Tiger. When he turned 16, Djap left his adopted home to go and work for himself. He found himself a position with the up and coming Twin Suns transport company, first as a crewman on the Repair Platform, then on the Selu, flying with Aeron. When the Empire annexed the company, Djapana joined the Rebellion, seeing an opportunity to utilise his Huntsman abilities against those who had killed his parents. He served as a Commando at Endor, Commenor and Borleias, under Lieutenant Page, then applied to transfer to starfighters after hearing the story of Kell Tainer of Wraith Squadron. He was accepted and got assigned to High Flight Squadron aboard the Imperial II class Star Destroyer Allegiance. Here he served with distinction, earning the Kalidor Crescent in a daring maneoever in tandem with his wingmate, then Pilot Officer Richo, against a Lancer class Frigate. The tactic saved the squadron and possibly the convoy they were protecting, but was unable to save the Squadron CO. Djapana took command of the squad and continued to serve, highlights including the Battle of Selaggis, under Wedge Antilles.
However, after the Warlord Zsinj was defeated, Djap decided that he had paid the debt to his parents. He settled on the agricultural world of Ukio, a world with farms, beaches and little else. There he met his fiancee, a gorgeous Twi'lek named Ella'nuna. Richo also quit the military and moved nearby. Life seemed complete.
5 YRS, 6 MTHS AFTER ENDOR
The Imperial Star Destroyer Chimerea appeared over Ukio. Incredibly, it fired through the Planetary Shield, leaving no energy trace on the shield. The Ukian overleige was quick to surrender, most Ukians being deathly afraid of the impossible. Transport upon transport of troops pored down, seizing all food creating devices. Including Djapana's farm. Djapana was allowed to continue working it, but his profits nearly disappeared. The fact that he was supplying food to the same force that had killed his parents grated on him. The faceless similarity of the cloned Stormtroopers un-nerved him. But the final straw came when some of the Non-cloned regular Army troops decided to take out their speciesist phobias on Djapana and Ella'nuna. Djapana was beaten to a bloody pulp, but left alive because of his Human heritage. Ella'nuna was killed. Out of either rage or desperation, Djapana hunted down and killed his tormentors, with the help of Richo. Then, without lookng back, even to thank his friend, he left.
He headed to the Outer Rim world of New Traesk to get away from everything. There he met the commander of a squadron in the Rebel Squadrons. His name was Avel Hava. He was the Lieutenant in charge of Draco Squadron, in the Intrepid Battle Group. They were short on pilots and needed all the help they could get. Djapana figured the time had come again to fight for Justice. Due to his previous experience, he quickly became the XO. Then, on a mission against an Imperial Strike Force, Avel was Killed in Action. His death hit Djap and made him feel again, after the numbness he had entered on Ella'nuna's death. He took command of the Squadron and set about making it work again, calling in his old XO to give him a hand.
Slowly but surely, Draco Squadron clawed its way back to the top, once again an elite squadron. Djapana has taken to the job and also become the XO, then CO for the Chiin'tal Wing.
10 YRS AFTER ENDOR
Djapana returned to duty after a 4 yr break. Falling in love again finally doused the need for revenge burning inside him and he had retired finally from active duty. He married and moved to the lake country of Naboo, far from any remaining war. He and his new wife lived there happily for 3 1/2 yrs, where he lived happily on his military pension and a burgeoning music career. However, he missed the comradeship of the armed forces and chafed everytime the news broadcasts mentioned a pirate, or Imperial attack. The Wor'nods moved to the world of New Traask and Djapana re-enlisted in the Rebel Squadrons, regaining his old rank. His wife is a teacher on New Traask, and while she chafes at the long absences, knows that what he does is important. He's back...
