Character History:

Howdern Harm, known to some as "The Road Warrior" in his home system of Ka'shak, in the outer rim, received an imperial death-mark for a speeder-bike chase in which he slew an entire stormtrooper team and evaded a second. Before this he had a very ordinary life, but was mistaken for a smuggler and forced to join the terrorist group "The Flaming Spears of Doom" and from this, received basic combat training, both armed and unarmedand basic training in other areas such as explosives and repair skills.

After three years of quick bombing raids and assasinations of various officials and low-ranking imperial officers, the Flaming Spears decided to assasinate the local Moff, one Murcray, an ex-Admiral in the Imperial Navy, who was given the Ka'shak system as a retirement gift by Emperor Palpatine, just before the battle of Endor, for his years of faithful service to the Empire. Though Murcray was expecting them, the Flaming Spears won the battle against the Imperial 55th Commandos which Murcray had stationed in his palace, which towered over the city of Ciabos, capital city of Harm's homeworld, Ka'shak 4. Harm himself killed Murcray (after a fist-fight in his office, since Harm doesn't like murdering in cold blood). After Murcray's death, the Flaming Spears went to the rebellion and provided them with mercenaries, including Harm, who led the group of mercenaries, to aid their cause at Endor. Harm and his men succesfully destroyed a wing of TIE fighters, that were in a hanger near the Death Star's shield generator, before they could be launched and also disabled three AT-ST walkers on their way back to the shuttle.

Harm returned home to the Ka'shak system to find Ka'shak 4 blockaded by an imperial fleet led by General Sen Fen's Super Star Destroyer, Impervious. Retreating to Ka'shak 12's moon, Ballygarvan, the Flaming Spears continued their old campaign. Fen, however, was able to co-ordinate his fleet to show up at the right time. The leader of the Flaming Spears of Doom, known only as Morc the Destroyer, reluctantly disbanded his terrorist/mercenary group.

Taking a ship, the Ballygarvan 11, a broken down transport ship, Harm leftthe Ka'shak system, vowing to one day return to liberate his home system. After many bar-brawls in various cantinas, where he won various parts for his ship, one or two blasters, which he has since modified, and of course some money, he entered the brawl-pits of Mos Eisley on Tatooine, where he won the local title. It was here, he picked up some basic flight skills and even tried out in a simulator or two against some of the local pilots and even beat some of them in X-Wing, Y-Wing and TIE Interceptor simulators. Harm, by now bored of the combatatants of Mos Eisley, moved to Coruscant, sneaking in using a fabricated ID, of course, and was there to witness the planet's liberation from Imperial occupation and was again impressed by the skill and resourcefulness of the rebellion he once again witnessed first-hand as he had at Endor. He now knew what he wanted to do. Joining the New Republic's armed forces was the only thing he wanted to do. Unfortunately, an old friend was in trouble. Morc the Destroyer had been captured by Imperial forces, so Harm rescued him from the Imperial prison on Hisjar 2, not far from the Morobe system. During this time, he discovered the power of the force in himself and even managed to construct a lightsaber.

Once business was taken care of, Harm applied for recruitment in the Rebel Squadrons, Aurora Force. He graduated with Honours and was placed in Backlash Wing's RedStar Squadron under the command of Major Trosa Aldair. During his first mission, he was sent undercover as Tsayer Rendili, but was captured. He escaped after General Fen came to interrogate him and helped to take the Norvid garrison's shields down. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant during that mission. Fen was apparently killed when his crew mutinied, but later revealed to have survived due to one of his galaxy-famous deceptions.

After Norvid, his next mission was a squad mission to the world of Chenar. Having been temporarily separated from his squad, he saved them from an Imperial intelligence nest. Unfortunately, his squad CO was captured, but was reunited with the squad after and the operation was a success. He was promoted to Captain after that mission.

Next came the fleet-wide mission, Operation STORM. During the first tier on the pre-industrial world of Conceli IX, his CO was captured again and he was left in command of the members of his squad on the ground. During the battle in the town of Knottinghamshire, aiding a member of his squad, he duelled against the dark trooper, General Chin Takashi, until the Imperials retreated from the town. They moved onto Feng Shu for a brief but bloody battle, before a couple of days worth of down time. For his efforts on the ground, he was awarded the Conceli Star.

For the second half of the Conceli campaign, Operation Damocles, Harm was part of the Jewel team that was involved in the massacre at Indio (For which he still suffers emotional trauma)and the far too easy taking of Vista, before the total surrender of Imperial forces at Dhars. For his efforts he was awarded with the Excellency of Duty. During this time, his XO dissappeared and he was named Redstar XO.

Soon after, he lead Beta team in a rescue operation on Talitha IV, which required infiltration of the prison.

Since then, he was captured during a mission and sold to his arch-nemesis, General Fen. Fen had taken control of the Commonia system. Howie was tortured, then forced to fight in gladiatorial battles on a daily basis for Fen's personal amusement. Howie lead a breakout and in the confusion, took control of Fen's flagship, the Ragnarok. He captured Fen on board and was ready to gun him down in cold blood, but instead handed him over to the people of Commonia Prime for trial, where he was sentenced to life imprisonment for his crimes.

Howie returned to the AF, turning the Ragnarok over to fleet ops. He resigned as Redstar XO and was reassigned to a training facility for 18 months. Upon his return, he found his CO, Lamin Zykara dead. Reinforced by a new resolve, he has returned to active duty, where he hopes to make a difference the only way he knows how. On the battlefield.

Jedi Purge survival details:

The Harm family was not a known Jedi tradition until Howdern Harm met an aged Jedi master who would have trained his father had he not been forced to move to the Outer Rim during the Clone Wars. The Jedi Purge bypassed the Ka'shak system altogether, since the Empire, in their arrogance, believed force sensitive beings to have avoided such a backwater system and they would have been right had Harm's father not had to flee there.

Force talent details:

Howdern Harm has shown a well-rounded balance of skills, even at his basic level of force training. He can already use telekinesis, albeit with small objects, and can sense other beings at a short distance. With further training, he could improve these skills and develop other techniques, such as healing, persuasion and blinding. On a few occasions, it is thought that he is able to cause small objects (such as blasters) to combust. This mayhave been coincidence, had it only happened once, but over the years, it has been known to happen during some of the brawls he keeps managing to get into. This would require further study. However, Howdern Harm's greatest aptitude is with the lightsaber. He has quick reflexes, making him a natural with the blade. With further training, this skill could make him more than a match for any darksider, saber-wise anyway.
