Kyrt Saxton

A former employee of Kuat Systems Engineering, and then Kuat Drive Yards, Dr. Kyrt Saxton's first major starship engineering project was the Eta-2 Actis-class Light Interceptor. He progressed on to become part of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer project, and then the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer project. He worked on several of KDY's other capital ship classes, including the Lancer-class Frigate, before retiring.

By the time he retired in 5 ABY, he had become thoroughly disgusted with what the Empire was, what it had done with the ships he had helped design, and how it had crumbled after the Battle of Endor. He came out of retirement for a short period of time to become an independent contractor for the firm Rendili Star Drive to work on the Republic-class Star Destroyer. After working with them on the project to completion in 7 ABY, Kyrt Saxton again 'retired'. He did some light engineering work for some of the smaller ship building firms out in the Outer Rim, such as working on the Redoubt-class Star Destroyer with Kuat Systems Engineering and Corona United Drive Yards.

Finally, in 12 ABY, he accepted a teaching job at the Assembly of the Force, hoping to train some of the Jedi students and refugees there in the fine art of starship engineering.
