The Modified Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser NRS Gold Star served with distinction during the Clone Wars Battle of Coruscant. It spent years in Imperial service before being captured by the fledged New Republic and refitted. The Gold Star has upgraded engines, a faster hyperdrive, stronger shields, a reinforced hull, and a more powerful generator. The ship was also heavily automated, reducing its crew requirements greatly.

The Gold Star is currently the Flagship of the ABG and home to Lancer Squadron. It remains in orbit over Bethlamore and can be called to go on missions at anytime. The Commanding Officer of the Gold Star is Captain Daman Kolar.

The Gold Star has a long and storied history and boasts battle scars on its topside from an incident when then helmsman Kevin S. Pryde nearly ran the ship into an asteroid.
