The datapad reads: "Successfully submitted. Please be on the lookout for confirmation from us - we'll contact you at <provided email address>".
The grizzled officer accepts the return of the datapad and stows it back in his pack. "Gotta say, I think you're going to make the grade. I've gotten pretty good at being able to tell, and you've got that air of bein' somethin' special. Now - don't take that too much to heart. They'll cut you down to tiny pieces a hundred - a thousand times before you earn your stripes, if you make it that far. ...Here's hopin' you do, though. Go see if they sent you that message - they're pretty quick about it - and contact this fella if you don't hear anything for a while." He hands you a small card that reads (Name of TO), Training Officer: <Training Officer's email address>. "If y'turn over the card, you'll see how to get in touch with a few more people too, if y'want. I gotta head out, m'self - somethin' came up just now - but I hope t'see you around soon... out there." He jerks his head towards space, gives you a quick grimacing smile, and heads off to his next destination.
