Republic Shield vessel.
History
Represented Republic Shield in a meeting with defecting Imperial forces aboard the Strike Cruiser Apostate. Carried Republic Shield Commanding Officer General Sconn to the agreed meeting place and waited for the Strike Cruiser Apostate to arrive. Hailed what appeared to be the arrival of the Apostate, and began to prepare for the meeting. However, the Strike Cruiser was really the Dimoran, which was broadcasting a fake transponder signal, posing as the defecting vessel until the real Apostate arrived to expose the deception. Fended off Imperial forces led by the Dimoran against Republic Shield forces, while the Dreadnaught End of Days led Republic Shield forces against the Dimoran, destroying it, and securing the area for the meeting to take place. Awaited boarding while the Apostate docked with the vessel, protected by the End of Days. Imperial reinforcements led by the Frigate Pestilence and backed by the Strike Cruiser Banton arrived to continue the Imperial attack on the meeting craft, targeting the vessel and the Apostate. The Dreadnaught End of Days led defence forces against the Imperial interlopers, successfully protecting the vessel until the meeting was concluded, and led Republic Shield forces in the destruction of the Imperial vessels while the Apostate and the vessel escaped into hyperspace. (RgF309)
Led interdiction operation against an Imperial task force led by the Strike Cruiser Valorum I which was attempting to reinforce Chasm base. The vessel engaged its interdiction field and brought the Imperial forces out of hyperspace prematurely near an asteroid field. Kept the Imperial task force secured in the combat zone while the Strike Cruiser Apostate led defecting Imperial and Republic Shield forces against the Valorum I’s task force. The Frigate Ascension flanked the task force from the other side. The entire Imperial force was neutralised. (RgF310)
Trapped the Star Destroyer Deathbringer in the vessel’s interdiction field as the Star Destroyer made its escape from the Star Destroyer Wyvern’s assault on Chasm base. Possibly caught the Deathbringer in one of the predicted exit vectors from the base. Attempts to hold the Star Destroyer were proving taxing to the vessel, as by the time the first wave of Republic Shield reinforcements arrived the vessel’s shield systems were failing. Republic Shield reinforcements held the Deathbringer’s forces at bay for a time, abating the attack, but the arrival of Imperial reinforcements led by the Dreadnaught Serpentine was a herald of defeat. However, Republic Shield reinforcements proper led by the Frigate Horizon and backed up by the Strike Cruiser Apostate arrived to directly engage the Serpentine. The Serpentine was overwhelmed by the Apostate and the Horizon, while Republic Shield forces pounded the Star Destroyer Deathbringer into submission before overwhelming and destroying it. (RgF312)
