Republic Shield vessel commanded by Captain Dantia Ranndu. Originally the Imperial Frigate Black Rain II captured from Imperial shipyards by Republic Shield forces.
History
Pursued from shipyards by Imperial forces led by the Star Destroyer Berserker. Escaped from pursuing forces. (PBF310)
Ambushed immediately after escaping from Imperial pursuit by the Berserker a second time. The tenacity of Admiral Hawk’s forces in pursuing this captured vessel led to the preparation of a trap, however the frigate had to escape from the Berserker’s task force near a navigation buoy once more before reaching the rendezvous point. Escaped in to hyperspace, covered by Republic Shield forces led by the corvette Onigami. (PBF311)
Arrived from holding position in the outskirts of the Haas system to reinforce Republic Shield forces raiding an Imperial construction facility on the edge of New Republic space. Countered the Frigate Dark Pact, and helped White Guard forces destroy the Dark Pact. (PBF402)
Guarded diplomacy operation between Republic Shield and White Guard forces, as the shuttle Endeavour delivered a diplomat to the White Guard outpost, and then returned to the Rebel Vengeance with a White Guard diplomat. Defended against Imperial attack force led by the Frigate Harasser II. (PBF403)
When White Guard forces turned on Republic Shield forces, the vessel arrived to reinforce Republic Shield and Imperial forces that had joined together to battle the overwhelming White Guard forces. Defended the evacuation of personnel from the doomed Frigate Harasser II onboard the shuttle group Dove and transport group Hawk while White Guard forces attempted to prevent their escape. Prevented White Guard forces from claiming complete victory, but was forced to concede the system and withdrew from the engagement. (PBF406)

Pretended to drive off Merciless Krayts vessel, the corvette Merciless Dragon, which had boarded and ‘raided’ the freighter Chisholm. Reinforced Republic Shield task force under attack by White Guard forces, led by the Frigate Unforgiver. Aided in the escape of the Calamari Cruiser Windstorm, and helped force the Frigate Minotaur to withdraw from the engagement by permanently damaging its shield systems after the Frigate Unforgiver was destroyed. Reinforced Republic Shield reconnaissance forces who were trying to scan Imperial convoy near an asteroid field in the Cadrel Expanse. Helped protect reconnaissance forces from Imperial defences, who were attempting to curtail reconnaissance efforts. Imperial reinforcements led by the Frigate Sceptre arrived in turn to counter the arrival of the vessel. Soon after Republic Shield forces gained control of the combat zone with the arrival of more reinforcements in the form of the Calamari Cruiser Valour. Imperial forces were unable to prevent the cargo contents of the entire convoy being scanned and identified. (PBF506)
Waited with the Calamari Cruiser Valour as bait for Imperial forces near a rock planet in the Cadrel Expanse. Imperial forces fell for the trap, with the Frigate Falcata leading Imperial and pirate assault on the vessels. Aided the Calamari Cruiser Valour in holding Imperial and pirate forces at bay until Republic Shield reinforcements could arrive. Imperial reinforcements led by the Frigate Catapult arrived before this could happen, and only after an extensive and exhaustive battle did Republic Shield reinforcements led by the Calamari Cruiser Windstorm and backed up by the Frigate Echo Hawk arrive to turn the tide of the battle and crush the Imperial and pirate forces. Stationed near two rock planets in the Yuen Lon system where the Republic Shield was mustering in preparation for a final attack on the weapons facility in the Yuen Lon system. Acting as a forward guard for the Calamari Cruiser Valour, which was awaiting the arrival of Admiral Borran onboard the shuttle Teke's Hand, which was travelling onboard the Calamari Cruiser Windstorm en route to the system. Co-ordinated area defences against Imperial and pirate forces led by the Frigate Krechet. Reinforced by the Valour, Republic Shield forces held Imperial and pirate forces at bay until the Windstorm could arrive. The neutral corvette Quartzite entered the area, and Imperial forces attempted to prevent the ship from escaping, in an attempt to leave the Cadrel Expanse feeling vulnerable and under-protected by Republic Shield forces. The Valour led Republic Shield forces in defence of the neutral vessel, allowing it to escape. The arrival of the Windstorm bolstered Republic Shield forces, which then defeated the attacking Imperial forces, causing the destruction of the Frigates Krechet and Mystic. Helped protect the shuttle Teke’s Hand, which flew through the engagement zone from the Windstorm to the Valour. (PBF510)
Suffered extensive damage in the engagement in the Yuen Lon system, and was forced to undergo repairs whilst the main Republic Shield force led by the Calamari Cruiser McGrath and Valour captured the mobile pirate weapon facility on the edge of the Anshife system. (PBF511)
