The Shadowblen is a Republic Shield CEC CR90 Corvette that is currently assigned to the Greeop Defense Force.

    History

The Shadowblen was originally in the service of the Imperial-affiliated White Guard. The Patriot Battle Fleet captured it in a daring convoy raid on 44:3:28 and within days the vessel was already in service to the Rebel Squadrons. PBF CO Joshua Hawkins then made the decision to send the Shadowblen back to Greeop to join the Greeop Defense Force, perhaps as a gesture of the PBF's desire to be able to join in the defense of the RS home territories. The vessel arrived at Blerthmore on 44:4:2.

The Shadowblen is currently an escort ship in the Greeop Defense Force, left behind in the Greeop Sector and charged to hold RS territories together while the Subterrel Strike Force wages war abroad.

    Behind the scenes

    • The Shadowblen is named after former (and longtime) RS member Shadowblen, who was a major force in the PBF. The vessel's name honors his contribution.
    • The name was selected in a poll conducted on the RS forums. Mike "MacMan" McEwen proposed the name which then went on to win the vote which ended on March 20, 2007.
