The Unforgiven is a Republic Shield KDY EF76-B Nebulon-class escort frigate that currently serves as the escort of the Redemption in the Subterrel Strike Force.

    History

Part of Republic Shield task force led by Calamari Cruiser Engel in assault against Imperial convoy near a red nebula (#98) en route to Tarla Minor Shipyards. Completely destroyed convoy. (IBG101)

Arrived to reinforce the fleet build-up preparing to assault the Tarla Minor Shipyards. Arrived at the build-up just after the fleet fought off Imperially-funded pirate attack by mercenary forces led by the Frigate Xenesis. (IBG104)

Rendezvoused at a neutral fuel and supply depot in Imperial space. Left Republic Shield forces behind while the vessel entered hyperspace, to destroy any Imperial scouts attempting to follow the fleet. (RgF110)

Part of Republic Shield and T’Seran Resistance task force led by the Calamari Cruiser Ad Astra in the liberation of the T’Seran system from Imperial occupation. Stumbled upon Imperial patrol, and was assigned to deal with the patrol force whilst the rest of the task force headed further in-system to begin the battle with the Imperial defenders. Led forces in the destruction of the Imperial patrol force, led by the Victory Star Destroyer Hera. (RgF111b)

Led Republic Shield capture assault against the pirate asteroid hangar Exort Base in an asteroid field. The vessel’s forces disabled the base, and defended the Unforgiven from pirate counterattack, helping destroy the corvette group Denast who were bombarding the frigate. Launched shuttle group Storm who boarded and captured the outpost. (RgF204)

Led Republic Shield reinforcements against Imperial forces who had ambushed the Ad Astra, which had been forcibly pulled from hyperspace by the Interdictor Event Horizon a sizable distance from the supply platform Terminus that the Calamari Cruiser was attempting to reach. The Ad Astra has lost shield systems and sustained serious hull damage by the time the vessel led Republic Shield reinforcements to its defence, backed by the Dreadnaught End of Days and the Strike Cruiser Kayak. Transport group Shock launched from the vessel, and Republic Shield forces struck back at the Imperial forces, destroying the Frigate Daveen I and the Dreadnaught Skami, and wounding the Interdictor Event Horizon. The Event Horizon attempted to flee, but was also crushed by Republic Shield reinforcements. (RgF306)

Led Republic Shield reinforcements in aiding New Republic forces led by the disabled Calamari Cruiser Valiant, who had fallen under attack by Imperial forces led by the Victory Star Destroyer Kingpin. Co-ordinated the defence of the battered New Republic task force, and rallied New Republic and Republic Shield forces to strike against the Imperial attack force, disabling the Kingpin, and destroying the accompanying Dreadnaught Wrath and Frigates Killdeer and Blind Fury. Launched the transports Spectre I and Spectre II, with the former repairing the disabled Calamari Cruiser Valiant, and the latter repairing the disabled Victory Star Destroyer Kingpin after a boarding party from the shuttle Ghost I had captured the Imperial command ship. The Imperial force was routed, and the captain of the Kingpin captured along with his ship, to be interrogated. Imperial reinforcements delivered to the combat zone by the Strike Cruiser Capricorn and the Frigate Taurus were also repulsed, securing the area from Imperial interloping forces. However the victory was not without price, as several of the New Republic craft were destroyed in the confrontation, including the corvette Solaris II. (RgF401)
