Background
Kaz Falcion is a male humanoid of indeterminate age or species who has served in the RS as a commando since just after its inception in 40GrS. Prior to his service with the RS, little is known of his background, though the following has surfaced over time.

* Various bar-room tales if factual place Kaz as a mercenary at some point during the Clone Wars.

* Military Service Record shows a history of incidents involving personality conflicts between Kaz and direct superiors

* Psychological Evaluations indicate high intelligence, and an alarmingly cold and distant view on many topics of morality.

* An extensive knowledge of Imperial Army tactics and procedures suggesting he hasn't always been aligned with the Rebel Alliance/New Republic.

* Rumored drinking problem

* Refuses to speak on the subject of his family, though it's little known knowledge he has a daughter

Appearance
At first glance, Kaz appears to be a perfectly ordinary human male somewhere between his late 20s and early to mid thirties. Athletically built, he has dark hair normally kept fairly short, and piercingly bright eyes of a silver hue. Most often seen dressed in one of numerous sets of dark grey fatigues.
The Character
Not so much is known about the man they call Cody Qel-Droma. While it's known that he was born on Corellia, after that, things tend to get a bit fuzzy. What is known is this:

* He joined the Rebellion some time before the first Death Star at a very young age
* His record seems to fade here, and he is later found working within the Empire
* During his time within the Empire he becomes a key figure in the Empire's Propaganda Division, turning out patriotic holodramas and commercials. His record of service is unknown beyond this, but he is widely recognizable to most people who lived through this era.
* He later turns up as one of the key members of New Horizon Designs, A starfighter manufacturer and possible Rebel Front
* He becomes famous again racing and dog fighting New Horizon Designs ships in the Intergalactic Dueling leagues. Rebellion Rumors persist
* After an insurgency/rebellion on the moon of Rori, nothing was heard from him
* Some rumors have emerged about possible involvement with a group called Zealot

Appearance
* Rugged good looks, very movie star-esque, fitting for the role he served both the Imperial Navy and New Horizon Designs
* His hair always seems beyond regulation and he's usually a bit unshaven, leading some to believe that perhaps he's earned the right not to follow the standard NR Navy protocols, meaning that he may be part of a special unit of some sort.
* When he turned up with NHD, he'd acquired some kind of tattoos across a large part of his upper body. Their nature is unknown, but they appear to swirl, change, and act, even moving around his body, as his mood dictates
* Comparing old pictures to knew, beyond a general increase in scars covering his body (although, again mysteriously, somehow all avoiding his face) he doesn't seem to have aged a day
Behind the scenes
Useful Information
One of the Rebel Squadrons most senior members, Cody has been working for the rebellion within the RS for over 10 years now. He's opinionated, direct, and mildly insane. He's been on leave in Vanguard Fleet because of computer issues, but still turns up on the boards and sometimes even makes an appearance in the game itself. He is also currently SO of Righteous Indignation Division for Empire at War where he acts as an advisor and helps write the monthly narratives for the RID Tour. Because of computer issues, he is currently unable to play MP, and mostly does SP related things for RID. He in now head of Zealot and is working hard to align the unit with the rest of the RS ITOD. He is also a very opinionated and annoying RS Alderman

He throws some of the best parties anywhere, whether in reality or in a galaxy far, far away.

Trivial Trivia
* His real name is Torin, but at some point the nickname of "Cody" or "Codyman" became his callsign. It's pretty much become his name now
* Although, as of recently, he can be found under the alias of Danny "David Lee Japan" Qatar. If it's good enough for Ron Mexico, it's good enough for Cody
* He is the RS's official Wobble Puppy. No one remembers what this means exactly, not even him
* He once made Mike Bullian CO of Aurora Force as a practical joke. Indy was not amused
* Creator of the Aurora Force
* Creator of Zealot
* First started out in Grey Squadron
* Once brought up the MoJ on MoJ charges to get her to step down (Don't mess with my net Sis!)
* Started the SWG incarnation of Resurrection Squadron (Rza). We've done the name proud and continue to do so
* His real life exploits have become cannon fodder for various internet sites, including fark and foxnews.com
* Might live close to GA Ronin of the EH
* Phil Collins is his nemesis
* Justin Timberlake has been taken off the nemesis list, due to the global threat of Phil Collins and Cody's need to focus on stopping supreme evil

Zealot Special Operations Unit is a wing in Redemption Fleet that is the home of fiction writing in the era of the RS-wide storyline. Fictionally, Zealot is attached to the Frigate Unforgiven in the Subterrel Strike Force. Zealot is a multi-purpose special ops unit, similar to the Wraith Squadron of X-Wing book fame.

Command Staff
*CO: Cody Qel-Droma
*XO: Markus Jarnhann
*SO: Sarriah

Rules
1 - You are not a Jedi. No lightsaber, no magic powers. You're a soldier, and you might be damn lucky. Some years down the road Luke might show up and say "Hey, all that luck. Guess what? You're actually a Jedi!" But, not anytime soon.

2 - You're not a God. You might be a Hero, which means you have a leg up on Joe Random Rebelguy. You're still a human (or assorted alien). You can't take on the entire Empire by yourself, you can't destroy a SSD single-handedly. You *can* Die. If you write yourself into a corner, we're certainly willing to let you be a token lesson. So, don't go getting any delusions of grandeur.

3 - Our unit will be tasked with a certain objective based on the RS's current Tour of Duty. We're players in the overall campaign, so try and stay in the area of operations. On a mission, there might be a time where certain members will be required to complete tasks away from the others, but we've got to be focused on accomplishing certain goals. In the downtime, feel free to visit Corellia, Rori, wherever, but in the middle of the mission you won't be running off to Corellia unless it's part of the mission. We want you to be together as much as possible because we're a team.

4 - If your character is a member of another fleet participating in the RS ITOD, you may have to create another character for use within this writing group. Can't have you running around in two places.

5 - You are allowed one character to begin with. After a while you can approach the Zealot Squad command staff for consideration on being allowed a second PC. Those decisions will be on a case by case basis.

6 - Respect another player's character. If you want them to be in your post, approach the person whom the character belongs to. Give them a heads up, a rundown of what you plan on doing and them saying. Feel free to email them your post before-hand and let them get a little input. Better yet, use AIM/MSN/IRC/Phone/Whatever and do a joint post. Decide who is going to do all the narrative and then roleplay out your post. Copy/Paste/Edit.

The only time I would be comfortable with someone writing someone else's character without any input is if they know each other's characters well enough and are the other person is comfortable with saying "Yeah, just write me whatever" to the other person.

7 - Familiarize yourself with our current situation by pouring over the wiki. We're in the Subterrel Strike Force. Read about our current situation, what ships make up the force, etc, etc, etc. A good start is here: Subterrel_Strike_Force

8 - We are a special operations unit. We're going to be doing a little bit of everything. You'll get to fly, you'll get to ground pound, you'll even get to go covert. You'll drink in the bar. We're a jack-of-all-trades unit.

9 - If you want to play something outside the 'norm', feel free to contact the Command Staff prior to writing and we'll give you a decision. We don't want a bunch of Noghri Assassins running around in our unit, same as we don't want a million Verpine Slicers. Twi'lek, Bothan, Human is fine. As long as people don't go overboard, Mon Cal, Trandoshan, Rodian, etc is fine too. Gungans need not apply.

10 - We're gonna try and keep the writing PG-13ish. A little swearing is good, it's colorful. But no graphic sex, sexual descriptions/depictions, racism (except against Gungans, Ewoks, Hutts, etc). Keep in mind that we might have some younger PCs.

Initial Background Context Briefing
Extract from context briefing presented by General Vaughan via HoloNet on 44:4:14 to members of the newly activated Zealot Unit, onboard the Frigate Unforgiven.

<blockquote>
[ . . . ]
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
I guess I'd best start with an introduction. I am General David Vaughan, the Logistics Officer of Task Force Republic Shield. My job is to make sure that the entire task force, from the central territories of the Greeop Sector through to expeditionary forces such as yourself in the Subterrel Strike Force are as well-supplied as physically possible. I must extend my thanks to those of you who helped distract enemy forces during the most recent convoy shipment to your region.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Unfortunately another Imperial force ambushed the convoy near the sector border before it arrived in the Fersto system, so not all of the supplies made it, but if you hadn't helped Vigilance Starfighter Group forces in distracting that patrol force, then, well . . . the entire convoy would have certainly been lost. As it is, your efforts ensured that the most crucial of the supplies arrived safely. But enough of that for now; I'm sure you've been thoroughly debriefed about that mission by your unit commander. As I was saying, I am the Logistics Officer for the RS, so if you have any specific equipment needs, please provide them to Commander Ocopaqui for her to pass on to me.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
However I am also in charge of managing many other types of strategic and tactical data, which is why I'm speaking with you today. Right now my job is to help bring you up to speed on events that have been happening recently. It is important to make sure you are all informed because these events are what has caused this unit's creation, and is the reason why so many of you have been reactivated from retirement, or transferred from other units. Those of you who have transferred from other units in the task force will be already acquainted with this information, so this is mostly directed at those of you who are new to the Republic Shield.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Many of you fought in the time of the Rebellion, and not all of you have flown under the colours of the New Republic; other than the hit-and-fade mission you undertook a few days ago, of course. While the services of the Alliance veterans among you were crucial during some of the darkest times of the galaxy, you are needed again to help drive the remnants of the Empire to oblivion.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
You might still be wondering why you have been activated for duty and placed in this unit, and I'll get to that shortly. I understand that there seems to be a consensus that the Galactic Civil War is over. Some people classify it as ending with the Emperor's death, or the formation of the New Republic, or even the capitulation of Coruscant to the New Republic. These notions seem to be carried by civilians to make themselves feel more secure, or politicians to help gain supporters, but I have heard this idea being propagated by members of the New Republic Defence Force, too. In short, anyone who believes the civil war to be over is wrong.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
For any of us fighting the remnants of the Empire out on the fringes, it is only all too apparent that the war is not over. The galactic situation might not be as dire as it was during the time of the Rebellion, but if we falter in our duty to crush the remains of the Imperial forces then the Empire will surely re-establish itself. Many of you have probably heard the rumours of a new Imperial commander rallying the warlords and remnants of the fragmented Imperial military into a more serious threat; into something that has more of a chance of standing against the New Republic. These rumours can be considered confirmed, especially with the loss of an entire New Republic task group of four Assault Frigates and three wings of X-wings to a lone Star Destroyer near Obroa-skai a few weeks ago. The Emperor is dead, and Coruscant is ours, but the Empire is still a grave concern.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
As of two months ago our task force suffered the worst attack in its history. A massive Imperial fleet entered the Greeop Sector and laid waste to the RS capital of Blerthmore, ruining the surface command centre, devastating our primary shipyards, and decimating our operational fleet. Over forty thousand New Republic personnel lost their lives in this attack. They gave their lives to ensure that the Imperial force was repulsed, and to ensure that we did not yield our territory to Imperial tyranny.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
In direct response to this attack, most of the task force has been consolidated into the Subterrel Strike Force, and in the past month Admiral Raven has led the strike force from RS territory to the Subterrel Sector, and battled the Imperial forces holding the region. However the situation has revealed itself to be . . . a little more complicated than anticipated.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Four years ago, almost to the day, Task Force Republic Shield was established here in the Outer Rim, charged with the duty of keeping the Imperial forces of the region in check and preventing them from advancing along the trade routes and striking at more populous New Republic worlds. And during this time we have done so successfully, halting Imperial advances through the Minos Cluster and Cadrel Expanse, and even driving them back from their forward bases in the Binaural Sector to the point where they were mostly contained in the Aurora Sector.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
However it seems we have not been fighting a wholly unified foe. As far as Intel can determine, the Imperial forces in the region have suffered a major split at some point in the last year or so. Why? We have no idea, and isn't really as important as the tactical advantage it gives us. All we really know is that Imperial forces are concentrated in this region of space, and are being torn apart by internal strife. Even if they hadn't brought us into this conflict with the bloody assault on Blerthmore, it would be in our best interests to hit them while they're divided. And divided they are: there are two Imperial fleets in the sector, and they fight each other with as much ferocity as they do us.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Now, we don't know what the Imperial battle groups are so fanatically fighting over out here. The Subterrel Sector is not exactly a treasure trove, or location of any particular strategic value. In fact, all that seems to be of interest in this sector are archeological digs on Polis Massa and mining ventures on Subterrel; neither of which the Imperial forces seem particularly interested in. This sector is mostly uninhabited by spacefaring civilisation, and the few populated worlds are being largely ignored by the Imperial invasion forces. It is possible that this location itself is incidental, and these two Imperial groups are only interesting in wiping each other out. We don't really know; Intel have been working extensively to determine what is going on out here and don't seem to really have a clue.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
All we really know is that to achieve our prime directives of keeping the Imperial forces out here on the Rim occupied, and to prevent them threatening coreward parts of the New Republic we are to take advantage of their division and try to cause them as much damage as possible.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Now this is where Zealot comes in. Admiral Raven has been doing an admirable job in leading the Subterrel Strike Force in its campaign against the enemy forces. However, both Imperial fleets outnumber the strike force drastically. Current estimates are about three to one, against. Meaning that either one of the Imperial fleets outnumber us three to one, and if they ever decided to ally themselves against us, it would be six to one. And while I am sure the Admiral would never willingly admit it, as far as a stand up fight goes, this is not one that we can win easily. In fact, the only thing we can be grateful for is that they seem to hate each other as much as they hate us. If they considered the SSF to be more of a threat to their plans, we would expect them to ally themselves against us. They have not, and we must push this advantage. By the time they realise what a dire threat the strike force is, we need them to be incapacitated so much that all they can do is regret their previous lack of action against us.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
You have been assembled to fulfil our needs for a special operations division that can infiltrate enemy lines and undertake black-ops missions, sabotaging and maiming the enemy from within. While Admiral Raven will be leading the Subterrel Strike Force in a direct military campaign against our enemies, you will be the hidden and lethal force that erodes them from within, weakening them sufficiently for the strike force to defeat in open battle.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
These are the operational objectives for the unit, and you will find that you have a much greater deal of flexibility regarding how you achieve these outcomes compared to other units in the New Republic. And you won't necessarily always be operating covertly, even though it is our intention for you to do so normally. I am sure that the amount of explosions and hell-raising you'll be causing will definitely involve you in some of the largest up-front battles in the campaign. So if any of you are feeling particularly bloodthirsty, fear not: you will have more than enough opportunity to cause your own dose of hurt to these Imperial bastards.
</blockquote>
<blockquote>
New Republic Intelligence Biographical Report RS-28173-FA
Subject: Kaitlyn Marie Anderson

Subject born in Lorrd City on 22:1:12 to parents Laura and David. She was flagged early by Special Operations due to repeated school experiments involving explosives; wherein more common materials and equipments were used to create class B and A devices. Records show thirty two citations for illegal explosives use during her senior year; most waived due to the ‘educational’ nature of the violations. Enlisted into the New Republic Academy when eligible, after being offered a ‘clean slate’ for service within Spec Ops. During her freshman year, she caused a level three security breach when she used a few power packs and wire to make an explosive device; which she then promptly used to demonstrate field-improvisation. After causing one point two million credits in damage, she was nearly evicted from the academy until a recruiter for Task Force Republic Shield caught wind of the event. Finding her actions, quote: ‘unique’, she was enlisted into Republic Shield for service in their special operations division.

Subject went through two years of training on Blerthmore, where her explosives testing could be done on the desolate surface of the planet; rather than a classroom. She graduated with honors, and was outfitted with a field pack custom chosen for her normal mission needs. Republic Shield records show that her first mission for the task force was on the closing day of the Cadrel Expanse conflict in 42:3:25; wherein she was part of a commando force sent to sabotage an Imperial Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser attempting to flee the battle area. During the battle, she utilized field tools and random weapons picked up during the mission to create improvised explosives device; since her own had already been expended in breaching the cruiser’s hull. After successfully sabotaging the engines of the vessel with ‘liberated’ explosive devices; the team made their way off the cruiser and back to friendly starships. She received a commendation for her tactics; and was reassigned to Grim Scythe company, 7th platoon, 2nd squad, onboard the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Redemption.

She served onboard the Redemption for two tours before being reassigned elsewhere; to become a part of an infiltration company that tragically lost their demolitions officer when his pack was sabotaged. In the ensuing months, she has distinguished herself with use of high explosive and improvised weaponry in order to complete her missions. She has been decorated, and reprimanded on several occasions for her use of such devices in sometimes haphazard situations. As of this time she has received new transfer orders to the Subterrel Strike Force; where she will serve onboard the Nebulon B-class Escort Frigate Unforgiven as a part of Zealot Squadron.

This file will be continuously updated as more information is made available to NRI.

She quickly locked on to hanging out with a bunch of Star Wars nerds, and was loved for her refreshing take on things (most likely coming from not being a SW fan in any way). Sister - Jesalynn (Senior Design Engineer, NHD)

Background - Childhood
(As reported to Alliance Intelligence by Joshua Arands on form PD3A991-lm1)

I was born on the planet Tralus in the Corellia system about the same time that Palpatine declared himself Emperor. Our world is one of two planets that revolve around Centerpoint Station, which in turn orbits the star Corell. The two worlds, Tralus and Talus, are referred to as the Double Worlds, and are ruled by the elected Federation of Double Worlds, or Fed-Dub. While neither planet is as well known as Corellia, they are important providers of agricultural and mineral products in the system.

My parents are Jordan and Karyn, and I have one sister, Jesalynn. Both of my parents have family on Tralus and from what I've been told, our families have lived there for several hundred years. I'm not too sure where we might have come from before then. Both families are reasonably well off, so naturally were surprised when my father chose to open up a repair yard rather than following my grandfather into politics. My father was always good with his hands though, and a smart businessman as well. Pretty soon, his repair yard was one of the most trusted and popular repair facilities in the sector.

I tended to follow my father everywhere as I grew up. When I wasn't being schooled, I would spend my time at the yards. My father taught me a lot in those early years and I turned out to be a pretty decent technician. By the time I finished my education, I guess I was about 16, I was a pretty competent mechanic and a beginning pilot. Like any energetic teenager, I loved to fly.

Background - Fed-Dub
Shortly after leaving school, I joined the Tralusian academy for Fed-Dub's security force. I spent about a month in a basic training program, and about six months in flight training. I graduated with pretty good marks, although I do remember getting reprimanded once for pushing my training ship a bit too hard. Caused a bit of damage, as I remember. I was assigned to Theta Squadron, one of four of the Z-95 fighter squadrons of the Federation's Defense Force.

I served with Theta Squadron for about a year. I was promoted once and given a couple of awards from CorSec for assisting with a few of their operations to capture fleeing criminals. It never occurred to me at the time that I was also helping the Empire hunt down those that they suspected of rebellious activity, but it did occur to someone else.

I met Salonika Batrad during a three-day leave. After a couple of lums, we started talking. He was pretty convincing at the time - made me seriously rethink what I was doing with my life. Took me most of my leave to make up my mind, but he played my ego well and I began believing the rebellion would never succeed without me. So I resigned my commission with Fed-Dub and left planet with him. It took us three weeks to make contact with a fringe group of the rebellion, and we were on our way. I don't think I looked back for several years.

Background - Rebel Dawn
It didn't take long for me to make it past the crude 'training' the rebellion provided. I was assigned to a fighter squadron within a week of arrival. X-wings weren't as abundant then as they are now and my training in the Z-95 got me an immediate assignment with the Galliant Defense Squadron. When that squadron was re-formed, we were assigned to Rezkomaro Outpost as Gold Squadron. We were used to intercept Imperial convoys along the Rim and engage Imperial fighters as needed.

I was eighteen years old when I was transferred to Green Squadron at Yavin HQ. I was not aware that Yavin was the main headquarters for the rebellion at that time, but I guess I should have guessed. There wasn't a Z-95 to be found on the lunar base. We were supposed to be assigned to one of the X-wing squadrons once it was re-supplied with more fighters. This was a definite step in the right direction for Sescikchat, my senior wingman and me. Flying in one of the space superiority fighters meant no more guard duty over convoys and backwater bases.

We were still waiting for our own fighters on the day that we heard about the Empire's new super weapon; the Death Star. When it arrived in system to attack the headquarters base on Yavin IV, the 6 remaining X-wings of our incomplete squadron joined the attack on the Death Star while Sescikchat and I were assigned to the War Room as aides to the Starfighter coordinator. To say the least, I was disappointed that I didn't get the chance to fight the enemy from the cockpit. If I'd only knew then what I know now. I should've been thankful.

Following the battle, Sescikchat and I were the only remaining pilots of Green Squadron. A few weeks after the battle, General Jan Dodonna spoke to a group of squadron leaders, including Sescikchat. Following this meeting, Sescikchat came to me to recruit me to be a test pilot for a new prototype fighter. As Green Squadron was pretty much non-existent and we had little hope of replacement fighters right away, I agreed. As such, he and I were the two first test pilots of the Dodonna/Blissex RZ-1 A-wing fighter. Here is where I found my true calling.

I had always been accused of pushing my fighters to the limits of their design capabilities, demanding more of them than any sane pilot would. This proved to be an advantage as a test pilot and flying the prototypes hard and fast discovered several early design flaws, only once to my misfortune. I was lucky and was treated and released for extended exposure in zero-g following a complete power failure of one prototype.

Background - Resurrection Squadron
Weeks after my recovery, I was transferred to Outpost 27 on Rori, one of Naboo's moons. There were no A-wings available yet, so I was assigned to a newly formed unit of X-wings called Resurrection Squadron. I was paired up with a rather intimidating Lieutenant j.g. named Lucas Benoit-Stark. Our CO, Cody Qel-Droma, calls him "Ironman" and after a few missions on his wing, I discovered why. We adapted well to each others' flying style and have become a formidable team on any mission.
OOC: I'll leave it up to the reader to find out why he is called Ironman on their own.

It has been while assigned to RzA Squadron that I have flown most of my combat missions. I was promoted twice, achieving the rank of Major, and recently, XO of Resurrection Squadron. Despite my dislike for the X-wing, I found it to be a versatile and useful ship for killing Imperial fighters.

However, I am an A-wing pilot first and foremost and was relieved when the Alliance made the latest prototypes available. Since that time, Alliance-friendly engineers at New Horizon Designs have been helping us to outfit and modify the A-wings we have for combat use. RzA Five has performed above and beyond expectations and are fast becoming a standard in our encounters with the Imperials.

Codyman: Heh, Leaph, edited you up a bit

A One Night Stand
More often than not; many heroes, villains and other sentients of consequence are overlooked in Galactic history archives whether a regime or organisation went to great lengths to have their existence covered up, or if perhaps they were merely out of sight, out of mind during the time of their reckoning. Arguably, Leaph Chausew is one of these beings.

Born twenty years before the Battle of Yavin, Leaph was the result of a one night stand between a Corellian silk trader and a Nubian dancing girl aboard a customs station in Corellian orbit. Leaph was actually born somewhere between the Tatooine and Naboo system aboard a Mon Calamari passenger liner so to anyone asking him where he hails from, his only answer would be Corellia as his features are fairly typical to that of a Corellian male.

His Father left the night he was concieved and Leaph never saw him again so he spent the majority of his childhood aboard various civilian cruisers, freighters and space stations keeping out of the way as his Mother 'worked'. Most of his childhood was spent in poverty; his Mother doing her best when she could to support him, but as he learned to walk and talk, young Leaph found himself being adopted into a regular crowd of familiar nomads and wanderers snce his Mother soon found herself working the same entertainment circuits year in, year out, knowing where the money was at different times of the year.

At age six through to eleven, Leaph helped his Mother out aboard the various veseels they resided on by fulfilling menial tasks such as crawling into ventilation systems and cleaning them out. At age nine, whilst assisting the chief technician aboard one particular bulk freighter, Leaph had a run in with the ship's resident dianoga as he sifted through garbage in the ship's refuse hold and nearly drowned.

The Teenage Years
As Leaph entered his teens, he became acquainted with the more sophisticated systems aboard starships, soon becoming adept at maintaining them and was given a better job as Hangar Bay technician's assitant. His exposure to a life in space left him with a distinct confident, if not reckless nature. His fearlessness aboard starships worried those he knew at times but little did they know that this strange 'hands on' education would give Leaph a solid basis for his adult life.

Shortly after his sixteenth birthday, Leaph's Mother was found dead after she'd refused a particularly violent client's requests and despite the distance mother and child had maintained, Leaph was crushed; the only family he knew stolen away. This instilled a very strong sense of right and wrong in the teenager and it was only as a result of sympathy from the ramshackle friends he'd made that he didn't go off the rails completely. He was given a new focus by one of the elder smugglers who'd been one of his Mother's many clients, but also had acted as a Father figure to Leaph during periods of his life. This man taught Leaph how to fly and realising that the young man was a natural on the stick, got Leaph a job flying a Z-95 Headhunter as part of the security force serving aboard the Mon Cal passenger liner that Leaph had been born on (although Leaph was unaware of this fact).

Unfortunately, tragedy struck again at the age of seventeen when the cruiser was halted by an Imperial customs patrol, consisting of an Imperial I Class Star Destroyer and Carrack Class cruiser escort as it was suspected that the cruiser was hauling a large amount of spice. The Imperial Officer in charge, rather than asking questions first decided to petrify all onboard the unarmed vessel by sending the Carrack cruiser in to disable the engines completely unprovoked. Leaph's small squadron of Z-95s and Y-wings were scrambled against the much larger Imperial force but of course, outclassed and outgunned were decimated by the weapons of the Carrack Cruiser alone. Leaph's Z-95 took a glancing blow to its starboard wing which sheared it off and sent it spinning out of control. As a result of the retalliation, the Mon Cal cruiser along with all escape pods were vaporised but Leaph, managing to keep his ship from blowing apart by powering down all essential systems managed to spin out of control away from the engagement.

By some strange luck, during this time an Alliance strike force was enroute to strike out against the Imperial force with the mission to destroy the Carrack cruiser and wound the Star Destroyer. Unfortunately as they entered the combat zone, the Imperials had left the system leaving but a mass of twisted molten durasteel and starship wreckage behind. Leaph, who as a result of his starfighter's damaged life support had slipped into a dangerous hibernation was discovered by the Alliance and brought onboard their Corvette as they made their way out of the system.

Almost a year passed as Leaph, now eighteen recovered from the trials he'd experienced in such short a time. Understandably, he'd been left with a bitter taste in his mouth in regards to the Empire and despite the pain he felt from the loss of his friends, was grateful to the Alliance for rescuing him from a premature death.

A Taste For Rebellion
It was a month after his recovery, just over a year before the Battle of Yavin when Leaph was given the chance to be put to use within the Alliance. After bing sent to Captain Kreezo, an Alliance operative on Corellia he was drafted to Lok where Cadet Chausew relearned the ropes in a better, more combat ready Alliance Z-95.

His service in Havoc squadron lasted for a year and eventually he was transferred to the unit's veteran squadron which flew a combination of X-wings and Y-wings. Leaph was selected for the X-wing due to his adept nature with such a responsive craft and during the period of time where the Alliance was based mainly at Yavin, his unit ran a lot of mission escorting supply frieghters and munitions to the small moon. Leaph was not at the Battle of Yavin itself though; instead during that time he was caught up diverting what should have been a routine supply delivery from the engagement zone.

As a result of faultless service within Havoc's X-wing unit, Leaph was given a commission of his own along with Vortex squadron pilot Eshiem. Lieutenant Chausew was given the acting role of Captain during this time as Alliance resources were extremely limited, especially on the Outer Rim where he was operating. Leaph's task was to form a squadron out of remnants of other Alliance squadrons which had been largely destroyed in service. The pilots he became familiar with all carried a lot of emotional baggage, but could hold their own; afterall, they were survivors.

The new unit was named 'Deviant Squadron' and given a lot of free reign, Leaph sent the unit after small Imperial convoys and anything which could supply the squadron with parts and supplies for the underfunded unit. Underfunded summed up the unit in many ways; the ships they operated were survivor ships from each of the pilot's former squadrons and consisted of batter X-wings, Y-wings, Z-95s and one rickety YKL-Nova Courier. During this time, Leaph fell in love with Corellian born Kiarna Faltice. An honest, caring woman who joined the Rebellion through Leaph after he discovered her alone when her parents were murdered, the two were quickly married and a period of happiness and success prevailed for a short time.

The squadron became stronger, reinforcing their assets with the technology they hijacked (which led to some very unconventional looking X-wings etc) but unfortunately for them, they became too much of a thorn in the Empire's side with their largely successful and frequent raids. After an Imperial spy was planted at the small moon base they operated from, the squadron was assaulted by orbital bombardment. Only half of the squadron got spacebourne without incident, but all were disabled and captured including Leaph himself.

Yet again, the Alliance saved his life. As he was subjected to typical Imperial torture methods, the Alliance ambushed the Destroyer Leaph was incarcerated on and in the mayhem, Leaph in a delirious state somehow managed to scramble to an escape pod. Unfortunately, the four other prisoners had been tortured to death before his very eyes before the Alliance arrived. Again, Leaph spent a period of months recovering and his hatred for the Empire increased.

Kiarna, had been on leave during the debacle and during Leaph's recovery she opted to join the main Alliance fleet as an Officer aboard a Nebulon B class Frigate. Leaph kept in touch with her, always proud of her devotion to the cause and it made him stronger. It was upon recovery that Leaph was approached by an Alliance agent with the invitation to join the Alliance's recently begun A-wing project.

He took to the ship with an air of distaste originally. Early on in the project, there were a lot of major problems with the design and due to resource issues, Leaph chose to return to Havoc squadron again feeling that the project was a waste of time and credits.

Unfortunately for Leaph, now aged twenty, he recieved word that Kiarna had been killed in action. The news drove the now fully established Captain over the edge and in combat was reprimanded several times for ignoring direct orders, flying almost suicidal charges against Imperial fighters, Capital ships and very nearly denounced the Rebellion itself. He was almost court martialled at one point, but due to sympathy from up high he recieved a demotion.

As with his nature though, he remembered how much the Alliance had done for him. They'd given him a second and third chance and the memories of all those he held dear who had been lost to the Empire forged his resolve.

Shirtless Pilot Finds True Love
Shortly before his twenty first birthday, recently demoted Lieutenant Leaph Chausew was transferred to the RS Battle Group where a lot of the A-wing research and development was taking place. Finally adopting an A-wing as his main choice of fighter he continued to wreak havoc in his new position, working his way up to the rank of Captain once more. Despite taking a personal vow never to love again, he literally fell in into love with a beautiful Twi Lek woman called Sandarie.

Leaph continues to serve the Alliance though he is less reckless and a whole lot wiser. As a result of his devotion and various other circumstances, he's been landed with the rank of General and is now engaged to Sandarie. He is responsible for the smooth operation of the squadrons within RS.

In 2000, Wizards of the Coast obtained the rights to the Star Ware Roleplaying game. Having already gained the rights to such classics as Dungeons and Dragons, they set out to create a newer version of the D&D system (3rd edition) that could also encompass their entire line of products beyond D&D. The D20 system was born. Using the 20 sided dice as it's mainstay, this system was meant to replace the older D6 version of the SWRPG.

The initial products in the D20 line were beautifully laid out with full color artwork, but failed to go "above and beyond" in terms of content, as the D6 materials had. The rules were also radically different, meaning that many longtime SWRPG gamers didn't wish to transfer to this new way of playing. Also, with the large amount of homebrewed D6 materials already on the net, people didn't quite make the jump. While interesting (and with guides stretching farther into the EU), many people were quick take the pictures and information in the D20 guides and find ways to convert it to the older D6 system. The rulebook was revised in 2002 along with a revision to the D&D and core WotC games, but this still failed to spark major interest.

The RSPA is well-known as a guild on the Starsider server. Serving with distinction on both the ground and in space since launch, the guild has maintained a steady, solid presence.

The RSPA is particularly known for its lethalness in starfighter combat, where it currently fields four squadrons: Sabre Squadron, Resurrection Squadron, Blue Squadron, and Skifter Squadron. Most of the squadron names are pulled from RS tradition and history, including the name of the RSPA's starfighter training group, Grey-Alpha Squadron.

The guild's soldiers are also making a name for themselves in ground combat. Although they currently don't have an official name, past groups have sported the names "Green Squad" and "Xinn's Xealots."

Based out of the city of New Horizons on Rori, the RSPA also is home to crafting group "New Horizon Designs."
