Maximilliano, or Max for short, Apes is a young Corellian, born at the end of the Clone Wars, when the Galactic Empire was formed. Coronet, a city known to be sympathetic towards the Rebellion, just so happens to be his home city. He grew watching Imprial officials intimidate fear in the people. He showed passion for Starfighters, even helping his parents with repairs. Sometimes he had chances to go through simulations. Passing well above expectations, the Rebels on Coronet had him trained as a Rebel Pilot. Understanding the dangers he accepted and was transferred to the Independence for the real training.

Max, born 4 years before the Battle of Yavin, he is a handsome and athletic person. Dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He served as a Rebel foot soldier and pilot during many of the Rebellions hard fought battles, starting the Battle of Hoth. He assited at Hoth by taking down a few AT-ATs and then donning an X-Wing to help escort the evacuation ships. He even helped the Azzameen Family afterwards, becoming a close friend to one of the Rebelions crucial pilots, Ace.For such a youth he has achieved much in such a short time span. But he doesn't use new found promotions to brag. He has earned the respect of many people, especially Luke Skywalker, Keyan Farlander, and Han Solo.

During his adventures to different planets, he has been making a name for himself on many of the worlds. However it is risky due to his Force Sensitive Nature. He has trained as a Jedi Knight in order to understand the Force and how to use it against the Empire. He has experienced the Dark Side and uses it against Dark Side users. He is a cunning warrior who isn't afraid in assassination in order to help the Rebellion or other people in the Universe.

Each was battle had its own consequences, especially after the loss of a really close friend and love interest due to Battle of Endor. His love was helping on the Liberty before the Death Star destroyed it, testing the firepower of the Battle Station. Devastated, he took on multiple ties, destroying as many as he could. When Ackbar announced that the shield was, he flew with Wedge Antilles, Lando Calirisian, and other rebel pilots. Wanting to destroy the Station himself he agreed to getting a few of the TIEs following them away from the 2 main ships. Making it out he and the A-Wing Pilot took the TIEs out and assisted with the destruction of the Super Star Destroyer. He then watched as a another close friend to him crashed his A-Wing into the behemoth. All that was left was to deal with all remaining TIEs until the Wedge and Lando successfully completed their mission.

After the Battle of Endor, Max took a leave for a few months in order to recover from the loss of his lover. Some times he spent hours in a Cantina watching Dancers and Musicians entertain them. He was a hard recovery but eventually Max came back to the New Republic and signed up for the Vigilante Starfighter Group. Now he is a part of Dagger Squadron, assissting in Convoy, Shipyard, Reconnaissance and other raids.

==Plot Summary==

In this game, you play Kyle Katarn, a mercenary once employed by the
Galactic Empire who is now working with the Rebel Alliance. Kyle's first
mission is to steal the plans for the Death Star. Then the Rebels learn of
the Imperial General Mohc's plans to create battalions of Dark Troopers -
specially enhanced stormtroopers which could spell the end of the rebellion.
In Dark Forces, the player, as Katarn, must travel to varied locations such
as the Gromas Mines, a Super Star Destroyer, the Imperial City on Coruscant,
and the spaceport moon of Nar Shaddaa - to stop the Empire from unleashing
the Dark Troopers. He's constantly assisted by his friend and partner, Jan Ors. Ors pilots Kyle's ship, the ''Moldy Crow'', and has been known to dig Kyle out of trouble on numerous occasions throughout their partnership. At the end of any given mission, the sight of Ors coming in with the ''Crow'' is a welcome relief, even when Kyle still finds himself running from angry locals or an entire imperial assault force.

==The Birth of the Rebel Squadrons [[Commando Division]]==

Although the Rebel Squadrons was founded around the game Xwing and was enjoying amazing success modding that game with its various squadrons, in 1996 [http://www.lucasarts.com '''Lucasarts'''] released Dark Forces, the first of it's first person shooter games. As buzz built for the game, and with it's final release, the Rebel Squadrons commissioned the New Republic Commando Division (NRCD) to begin forming units to play this new game. The section was founded by ADM Noble and later changed to the name Rebel Squadrons Commando Division because of another similar gaming club that used the NR tag for all its sections. Each company within the RSCD adopted a color for their company names. These included Blue, Red, Green and Gold companies. These units played monthly Dark Forces missions in competition against one another, often writing stories about their exploits. The RSCD also gave rise to one of the most feared units fielded by the Rebel Squadrons, the Katarn Commandos. As new adventures following the exploits of Kyle Katarn hit the shelves, these 5 companies became the backbone of the RSCD, continuing to play Dark Forces in what became known as the First Platoon. A Second Platoon soon followed that threw the RSCD into the realm of multiplayer first person shooters with the dawn of [[Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II]]. Today the Commando Division plays [[Battlefront]] and [[Battlefront II]], as well as [[Republic Commando]]. There is a [[Jedi Division]] for the Jedi series of games.
