Originally Dagger Squadron until its reformation, Red Dagger Squadron is one of the oldest squadrons in RS, there is much history and success in this squadron, some of the best pilots were and still are active here. Historically, the squadron has been broken up into three flights of four fighters. They have held different names over time but the current designations are Blade, Guard and Hilt. At times in the past, there was a fourth flight of rookie pilots during the transfer of training responsibility from the Academy to squadron command staff. The first and second slots have in most cases been reserved for the squad Commanding Officer and Executive Officer respectively, with the third occasionally listing the Second Officer, who in the past was the XO's backup member but otherwise held little responsibility.<br />

Originally Dagger Squadron until its reformation, Red Dagger Squadron is one of the oldest squadrons in RS, there is much history and success in this squadron, some of the best pilots were and still are active here. Red Dagger continues to take it to the Empire and make them regret ever harming any being. To the HILT!!!<br />

==Current Primary Craft==<br />
The standard issue Red Dagger fighter is the T-65J-1 X-Wing. Originally based off of the Incom Corporation's T-65 AC4, it was developed in response to the New Republic's lack of supplying updated equipment to Task Force Republic Shield. Not officially endorsed by Incom Corporation, the modifications are styled after a prototype craft flown by Admiral Lucas Benoit-Stark. Among other less obvious upgrades, the T-65J-1 features the following:<br />

* A modified nose cone, containing an enhanced sensor suite.<br />
* Reduced cargo space under the fuselage, replaced with a third warhead launcher.<br />
* Shortened strike foils, equipped with both higher powered laser cannons as well as larger and more powerful engines. <br />

Originally Dagger Squadron until its reformation, Red Dagger Squadron is one of the oldest squadrons in RS, there is much history and success in this squadron, some of the best pilots were and still are active here. Red Dagger continues to take it to the Empire and make them regret ever harming any being. To the HILT!!!<br />

==Current Primary Craft==<br />

The standard issue Red Dagger fighter is the T-65J-1 X-Wing. Originally based off of the Incom Corporation's T-65 AC4, it was developed in response to the New Republic's lack of supplying updated equipment to Task Force Republic Shield. Not officially endorsed by Incom Corporation, the modifications are styled after a prototype craft flown by Admiral Lucas Benoit-Stark. Among other less obvious upgrades, the T-65J-1 features the following:<br />

* Reduced cargo space under the fuselage, replaced with a third warhead launcher.<br />
* Shortened strike foils, equipped with both higher powered laser cannons as well as larger and more powerful engines. <br />

Along with the standard craft fielded by the squadron, they also field several others, either personal craft from squadron members or support ships.<br />

YT-2000 Blinding Star: A modified Corellian Engineering Corporation freighter brought to the squadron as Naesa Draw's personal craft, its improved weapons and systems have seen it used in situations that require a mix of carrying capacity and combat ability.<br />

<h2>Prior History</h2><br />
Born on Corellia to a family with a strong CorSec tradition, Naesa was raised with a firm understanding of rights and wrongs, but also knowing when a minor wrong was sometimes needed to prevent a more serious wrong. Following the events of General Crix Madine's defection and the subsequent Imperial occupation of Coronet City, she was discreetly groomed by her grandfather to encourage a resentment of the Empire and eventually introduced to an independent resistance cell. During her time spent with this group, she learned various skills both on the ground and in the air. Following a security breach and forceful dissolution of her cell, she fled Corellia along with her Cathar partner Juvyn Khasi. Over the brief span of time after the escape from their home, the two progressed towards New Republic space and eventually made contact. Following this, Naesa began formal training as an X-Wing pilot and soon after was assigned to the Republic Shield Task Force's Dagger Squadron. Khasi followed her, finding work with the maintainer crew for the squadron.<br />

Her time in the NRSC has overall been very successful, offering years of distinguished service both as a pilot and officer able to both follow and give orders on a small unit scale. She also has previously taken part in irregular operations with Allegiance Battle Group, although not in any prolonged capacity.<br />

Skillsets and Proficiencies<br />

Naesa exhibits a range of abilities outside of her years of flight experience in various atmospheric and aerospace craft. Her time in an semi-independent resistance cell prior to joining the New Republic military, as well as activities with Allegiance Battle Group has given her experience in boots on the ground operations. Along with this, she has a familiarity with accessing and modifying Imperial and civilian data systems. Civilian interests also include the creation of entertainment simulations.<br />

Born on Corellia to a family with a strong CorSec tradition, Naesa was raised with a firm understanding of rights and wrongs, but also knowing when a minor wrong was sometimes needed to prevent a more serious wrong. Following the events of General Crix Madine's defection and the subsequent Imperial occupation of Coronet City, she was discreetly groomed by her grandfather to encourage a resentment of the Empire and eventually introduced to an independent resistance cell. During her time spent with this group, she learned various skills both on the ground and in the air. Following a security breach and forceful dissolution of her cell, she fled Corellia along with her Cathar partner Juvyn Khasi. Over the brief span of time after the escape from their home, the two progressed towards New Republic space and eventually made contact. Following this, Naesa began formal training as an X-Wing pilot and soon after was assigned to the Republic Shield Task Force's Dagger Squadron. Khasi followed her, finding work with the maintainer crew for the squadron.<br />

So, my life so far. Lets see. A former stunt pilot turned resistance fighter from Corellia, I left my dear home after an incident to avoid being detained by the Dictat. After a death defying escape into space I managed to jump to [[Vigilance Starfighter Group]] and after some basic training, I joined [[Dagger Squadron]]. A old friend [[Swifty Chapple]] managed to get my stunt flier off planet for me. I still get some (Read:Next to none) stunt flying in my off time (That's a joke) on my Incom T-16 Skyhopper, the pristine "Flying Wreck". Which is now painted with the [[Dagger Squadron]] Crest as well as my own family colors. <br />

So, my life so far. Lets see. A former stunt pilot from Corellia, I left my dear home after joining the Alliance to avoid being detained by the Dictat. After a death defying escape into space managed to jump to [[Vigilance Starfighter Group]] and after some basic training, I joined [[Dagger Squadron]]. A old friend [[Swifty Chapple]] managed to get my stunt flier off planet for me. I am currently Major Naes Draw and have flown 9 missions, not always coming back in the same ship I left in either. I still get some (Read:Next to none) stunt flying in my off time (That's a joke) on my Incom T-16 Skyhopper, the pristine "Flying Wreck". So, my life so far. Lets see. A former stunt pilot from Corellia, I left my dear home after joining the Alliance to avoid being detained by the Dictat. After a death defying escape into space managed to jump to Vigilance Starfighter Group and after some basic training, I joined Dagger Squadron. A old friend managed to get my stunt flier off planet for me. I am currently First Lieutenant Naes Draw and have flown 9 missions, not always coming back in the same ship I left in either. I still get some (Read:Next to none) stunt flying in my off time (That's a joke) on my Incom T-16 Skyhopper, the pristine "Flying Wreck". Which is now painted with the Dagger Squadron Crest as well as my own family colors. I also am the Executive Officer for Dagger Squadron.<br />
