	~~{{Update}}~~		The Rebel Squadrons in it's early days operated around the game X-Wing, and thus was considered a singular fleet. As time progressed and new games were released, the Rebel Squadrons expanded it's roster to accommodate for this and as such the term "Fleet" came to represent the largest grouping of members, and was focused on a single game that the Rebel Squadrons supported.
	The '''Fleet~~''' is~~ the largest ~~unit in the RS. It is typically comprised~~ of ~~2-4 [[wing]]s~~, ~~each with 2-3 [[squadron]]s~~.

	~~There~~ are ~~currently seven fleets~~ in the RS:		Over the years, fleets came into being, grew in size, and faded as popularity for those games grew and ebbed. At the higher points in Rebel Squadrons membership and activity levels, there were up to 7 or 8 fleets, focusing on things such as each of the Flight Sims, First Person Shooter games such as Jedi Outcast and the Battlefront games, fiction writing, and D6 simming.

			With the recent decline in popularity for Star Wars games, and the lack of release of newer games to generate the interest and activity of previous Star Wars games, memberships number decline has brought about various measures to reduce the logistics and overhead required in running the club. Such measures included Fleet mergers (notable mergers being the Patriot Battle Fleet/Retribution Fleet/Wing merger and the Renegade Fleet/Intrepid Battle Group merger).

			Most recently, High Command decided to act on a bold move to consolidate membership and increase interaction and activity between the various members by merging all of the various remaining Fleets into a single roster of individual squadrons which are not limited to various games or activities. With this final merger, the Fleet as it was previous known had been removed from the roster structure of the club and left to the fictional, in-story side of the Rebel Squadrons to describe the various capital ship organizations of the Tours of Duty.

			The following is a list of the various Fleets that existed throughout the history of the Rebel Squadrons:

3.1 Unit Design

The Rebel Squadrons is a federation of Fleets, each of which has its own policies, regulations, and administrative structures. No Fleet, however, shall act in a manner contradicting established Rebel Squadrons policy.

Each Fleet shall minimally consist of two [[Wing]]s, or the equivalent.

Each Wing shall minimally consist of two, but no more than three [[Squadron]]s, or the equivalent. It is intended that Wings be built evenly.

Each Squadron shall minimally consist of eight members, but no more than fifteen. It is intended that Squadrons be built evenly.
