			There have been three iterations of Gold Squadron throughout Rebel Squadrons history. The first was founded in 1994 when the RS was created on the AOL service; it was subsequently disbanded in mid-1995 along with the original RS. The second Gold Squadron came about when the RS was reestablished in July 1995; the disbandment date of the second Gold is uncertain. The third and current Gold Squadron was apparently born in 1997, but the exact date is unknown.

			The first CO of Gold Squadron's second iteration was VA [[Super]], who served in that position from July 1995 - Feb. 1996.
