About a year after his birth, Jackson's parents were both killed by Imperial stormtroopers that raided their town looking for Rebels. He was taken in by the government, who discovered that he had an aunt that lived in a southern province. His aunt, named Tasha, was a nice person with a warm heart. She lived in a somewhat remote area outside of the capital, one that never attracted much attention to either the Empire or Rebellion.</ins></div></td></tr>

Jackson made many friends and quickly became a popular kid in his school. When he was 16, he became involved with a girl his age named Alana. They hit if off quite well, and their relationship lasted up until a few weeks before his 18th birthday. On their way home from the market, Jackson and Alana were caught up in a rare gunfight between Imperial attack troopers and Rebel troops, who were trying to protect the civilians. As they were running away form the battle with two Rebel officers, Alana was shot in the lower back by an Imperial blaster. Jackson managed to pull her to saftey down an alley as one of the Rebels was shot and killed. While the remaining Rebel shot back at the Imperial forces, Jackson sat down with Alana's head in his lap. She reached up to stroke his cheek as he held her close, and whispered her last words to him</ins>: <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">I love you.</ins></div></td></tr>

He has many friends in different squadrons, all who he cares deeply about. On a couple occasions, Jackson has gotten himself into some "skirmishes" with Imperial supporters in bars, which one time, landed him in a medical facility with a major laceration on his left leg. He still limps a little from it, but not enough to keep him from duty. The irony is that the knife that was used on him was his own boot knife that he carries on himself.</ins></div></td></tr>
