<p><b>New page</b></p><div>'''Shik's Cadet Incident''' is a popular term for the accident on November 28, 2001 that caused the [[Roster Database]] to lose the rank of every RS member.<br />

[[Shikkie Kaaran]], then [[RSXO]], was attempting to update one member's rank to [[Major]], but was doing so by hand and inadvertently forgot to limit the update to that member only. Instead, all members were set to Major. After realizing that the data were lost and many members had not yet reached Major, Shik opted to reset everyone to [[Cadet]] and ask that members submit their current ranks, with proof. This solution was largely effective for those members who were active at the time, but many members who had retired before the incident are still listed as Cadet to this day, and their ranks have been lost to the ages.<br />
