The bulk of the defending forces were blocking the way to the platform, while other elements of the fleet surrounded the Imperial attack force, diffusing the focus of the attack. Joined with the Victory Star Destroyer ''[[Reaver]]'' in directly engaging the Light Calamari Cruisers ''[[Madron]]'' and ''[[Kalinga]]'', which were attacking the right flank of the Imperial formation. The skirmish with the Light Calamari Cruisers did not fare well, as Republic Shield forces hammered the two Victory Star Destroyers into submission. ==History==
Present at the Star Destroyer ''Belligerent''â€™s fleet buildup when the Victory Star Destroyer ''[[Dominator]]'' returned from its recovery mission of supplies from the mining installation ''[[Mine 12XFT-3]]''. When Republic Shield forces followed the ''Dominator'' to the fleet buildup, the task force attempted to prevent their escape. However, Republic Shield forces managed to break free of the area and report back to their task force the location, size and composition of the Imperial fleet buildup. (IBG404)

Stationed with the Star Destroyer ''Belligerent''â€™s task force when Republic Shield forces arrived and probed the fleet, then promptly withdrew, allowing a possible vector of origin to be plotted. Remained with the ''Belligerent'' when an Imperial contingent led by the Victory Star Destroyer ''Dominator'' was sent to pursue the intruder and neutralise it, while the vessel followed the ''Belligerent'' out of the system. This ship was originally named the ''Corrupter'', which conflicts with Official Continuity as this ship was destroyed in the Battle of Thyferra in the Bacta War. Retroactively renamed by the Logistics Office.
