Assembly of the Force

Based out of the Temple of Bethlamore, this organization is for Force-sensitives, whether Jedi or not. While Jedi make up the majority of the Assembly's members, non-Jedi are just as welcome inside the group. Membership is only open to Force-sensitives, but the Assembly houses many non-Force sensitives within its home, including refugees.

Staff

The Assembly of the Force is run by the Head of the Assembly, which is currently Grey Jedi Zak Ciredik. Several other positions fall upon the Head of the Assembly, including: Master of the Temple and Head of the Council. Zak has continued the tradition of also serving as the temple's Headmaster of the Academy while temporarilly continuing his duties as Master Artificer until a suitable replacement can be found.

The second-in-command position at the temple is held by Sienn Sconn, Deputy Head of the Assembly, Deputy Headmaster, and Lore Master.

The Assembly's bureaucracy is run by Dr. Rigley Eklipse (D.P.A), the Assembly General Minister. The General Ministry includes the Treasury, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Transportation, Justice, Education (which has oversight over the Academy), and Health and Sentient Services. Seperate from the main bureaucracy are the Academny of the Force and the Assembly Defense Force, which is made up of SkyNet mercenaries. All three main branches of the Assembly answer primarily to the Head of the Assembly, though the High Council has oversight.

Other Staff

The High Council

Given the current dissaray of the temple following the resignation of Randy Starkiller, presiding Head of the Council Zak Ciredik has suspended the Jedi Council untill such time that the council may be reinstated with more then half of its membership.

Traditionally, a council of six Jedi Masters oversees the inner workings of the Assembly of the Force, mostly having to do with the Force-sensitive membership. The Assembly of the Force's High Council consists of the six primary positions inside the Assembly: Head of the Assembly, Lore Master, Master Healer, Master Artificer, Master of Combat, and Master of Defense. Currently Zak Ciredik serves as both Head of the Assembly and Master Artificer, while Sienn Sconn serves as Lore Master. All other positions are currently vacant.

Temple Complex

The Assembly of the Force's complex encompasses a decent area, with several key buildings and sites located in the complex. Most important of these is the temple itself.

  • Defense Emplacements: Located on the fringes of and inside the complex are various defense emplacements. At the four main compass points (north, east, south, west), at the fringes of the complex, is a single anti-air quad laser turret for each point; at north-east, south-east, south-west, and north-west are an anti-air dual turbolaser turret each. Finally, there are two anti-orbital emplacements set up at the northern and eastern points: at the north is a PPC Cannon, while at the east is an EMP Cannon. Each anti-orbital cannon has three dual laser cannon turrets mounted on them for anti-air defenses. The generators for each of the anti-orbital guns are buried underground, and the above-surface superstructure isn't very massive.
  • Outdoor Gardens & Greenhouse: North of the temple are the outdoor gardens and greenhouses were some of the foodstuffs consumed by the temple's denizens are grown. There are five small greenhouses, each one representing a different ecology.
  • Hanger: The temple's hanger is a large facility north-east of the temple which houses the Assembly's spacecraft and vehicles, in addition to those spacecraft and vehicles which belong to the denizens of the temple. Some craft are too large for the hanger or, as is usually the case, there is not enough space for all the craft: these craft sit out in the temple's landing field.
    • Hanger Defense Emplacements: Anti-air quad laser turrets are positioned on each corner of the Hanger, there is also two anti-air dual turbolaser turrets located around the center of the roof.
  • Courtyard: A black cobblestone courtyard which surrounds the temple on all four sides. All other buildings and sites in the complex lay outside of this courtyard, and it is symmetrical on all four sides.
    • Courtyard Defense Emplacements: At the north, north-east, east, south-east, south, south-west, west, and north-west points on the edge of the courtyard are a single anti-infantry/anti-vehicle turret which mounts a heavy laser cannon and two blaster cannons.
  • Great Temple of Adhe Zion: The main building in the complex: serves as headquarters of the Assembly of the Force, location of the Academy of the Force, student and Assembly member dormatories, et cetera.
  • Landing Field: A clearing southeast of the hanger (east of the temple), the landing field has space for the over-large and excess craft which the hanger cannot fit alone. Even then, some of the temple's denizens keep their craft docked in Ayrid Hai, though the Assembly tries to keep their docking charges paid.
  • SkyNet Security Garrison: A garrison south-east of the temple for the temple's security forces, which are currently provided by the SkyNet Armed Forces, but were formerly forces from the New Republic Defense Force. The garrison easily houses the SkyNet battalion and fighter wing which have been assigned to the temple. The garrison complex itself is capable of housing 1000 people, once gunnery crew for the defense emplacements are factored in.
    • Garrison Defense Emplacements: Anti-infantry blaster cannon turrets located atop garrison buildings.
  • Field of the Lost: A grouping of graves and memorials south of the temple for those Jedi and their allies who have died since the Assembly of the Force was established.
    • Aldeeraan Memorial: A beautiful Alderaanian fountain that serves as a memorial to the planet's destruction.
    • Veiled Statue: A statue recently delivered to the temple, it is covered in a veil and has yet to be revealed. It is rumored to be a shrine to Belasai.
    • Shrine of the Betrayed: A shrine to those thousands of Jedi who were slaughtered in the Clone Wars and the Jedi Purges.
    • Tomb of the Unknown Jedi: A tomb containing the remains of an unknown Jedi Knight.

Defenses

The temple has much in the way of military defenses. List below are what they have availible for their defense.

Security Personnel / Ground Troops

SkyNet provides security for the temple, and their main contribution is a full battalion of 736 soldiers to the security and defense of the temple. A full company, 181 soldiers, are primarily trained as security guards, though they have a thorough grounding in combat as well.

Fighters

Also provided by SkyNet is a full wing of 39 craft: a command flight of 3 T-65AC4 X-Wings, a squadron of Series II E-Wing Starfighters, a squadron of T-65AC2 X-Wings, and a squadron of V-Wing Airspeeders. These fighters are ready to be scrambled at a moments notice, though their pilots aren't always as ready.

Defense Emplacements

The temple has a total of two anti-orbital turrets, a PPC Cannon and an EMP Cannon; twenty anti-air turrets -- 6 dual turbolaser turrets, 8 quad laser turrets, and 6 dual laser turrets (three on each anti-orbital gun); and multiple anti-vehicle and anti-infantry turrets, including eight combination heavy laser cannon / dual blaster cannon turrets in the courtyard. SkyNet's armed branch provides gunnery crews for each emplacement.

Other

In addition to the SkyNet provided defense forces, there are also multiple Jedi trainees, several fully trained Jedi, and random ex-military hanger-ons living at the temple. If the temple ever were to be attacked, most of its inhabitants would fight to defend their home.

Relations with the New Jedi Order

Ties with the Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4, and by extension the New Jedi Order, are loose and shaky. Skywalker and Starkiller, while having respect for each other, both think that the other is taking the wrong path for the future of the Jedi Order. Starkiller prefers a more inclusive organization with less of the strict Jedi dogma and more variety in Force traditions. Meanwhile, Skywalker would rather rebuild a more dogmatic version of the Jedi Order, especially when it comes to the light side and the dark side.

Another point of contention is how much support should the Jedi give to the New Republic: Skywalker is a large supporter of the NR and his praxeum is a member organization; the Assembly is now independent, though still supportive of the fledging Republic. As a result, Luke's Jedi Praxeum enjoys full government subsidization, while the Assembly only gets a small subsidy from the New Republic.

The two organizations do, however, share resources to a limited extent and occasionally work together. Most of the shared resources include information on Jedi teachings and the history of the old Jedi Order. Other resources often include lightsaber-grade crystals picked from Bethlamore's Mt. Ilum by Randy in exchange for fuel and teaching supplies from Yavin 4.

Most Jedi in the Assembly do generally think of themselves as members of the New Jedi Order, though they do not usually accept Skywalker to be the leader of the Jedi. Thus in the minds of the Assembly, there are two primary sects within the NJO: Assembly Jedi and Skywalker's Jedi.

Behind the Scenes

The division of the Allegiance Battle Group that deals with The Force and Jedi. Run by Zak Ciredik, the AotF has a long history within the ABG: it was one of the original divisions of the Allegiance Wing, precursor to the ABG, which was originally a seperate club that was absorbed into the Rebel Squadrons.

The AotF is made up of Windu Squad and Yoda Squad.
