Originally the Nebulon B Frigate Corusca. Which was used by Wildcard during its Tour of Duty patroling RS space lanes. The Corusca was captured by pirates and imperials. Wildcard managed to retrieve the Corusca. The Corusca was sent to the space yards at Sluis Van. Where it underwent repairs and heavy modifications. During this time. Wildcard Squadron Command decided to change the name of the vessel to the Idiot's Array. Due to the modifications done to the Idiot's Array. The classification of this ship has changed. It is now referred as the Nebulon C Frigate. Since it is heavily modified from the Original Nebulon B. It has a new engine system and shield system. Weapons have been rearranged. Making more suitable for a strike mission. The hangar bay has also been modified heavily. It has two exits on each side of the ship. This will allow quick takeoffs and landings. But this also causes some concern if the ship was ever to go into battle and had to release fighters. The ship has a separate deflector shields in the hangar area. So only those separate shields that cover the hangar are dropped. Instead of the entire bow shields having to be dropped to allow fighters to leave. Of course, the ship still runs the risk of getting damaged if the enemy manages to get a shot into the hangar while the hangar shields are down. The fighter compliment is one. But the IA can carry two if needed. But this would only be possible if most of the support crew were to leave. It also has a small private Hangar bay that is in front of the main bay. This hangar can hold three Lambda class shuttles. Or two Assault shuttles. On approach, a required voice print and access code. This can be avoided if contact is made with either the Captain of the IA or Squadron CO of Wildcard.
