Imperial vessel. Part of the Zodiac Battle Fleet.

History

Stationed at the Synastry facility while waiting for the rest of the Zodiac Battle Fleet to arrive at the rendezvous point. Present during an undercover Republic Shield reconnaissance operation led by the captured Victory Star Destroyer Kingpin. The Kingpin used its battle damage to fool Imperial forces into preparing a repair operation while a reconnaissance force roamed the area collecting data of the assembled craft. The reconnaissance operation was revealed when the Calamari Cruiser Sagittarius arrived and alerted Imperial forces to the true allegiance of the Kingpin. The Victory Star Destroyer then attempted to withdraw from the outpost while Imperial forces attempted to bring it down. They failed, as the Kingpin and its reconnaissance force escaped into hyperspace. (RgF402)

Supported the Calamari Cruiser Sagittarius and participated in the Imperial ambush of a New Republic task force led by the Strike Cruiser Sulu which had been lured away from defence of the platform Katana. Imperial forces successfully bombarded the four New Republic capital ships extensively, stripping them of their protective deflector shields. Capture craft entered the combat zone and prepared to capture the Frigate Corinne, the Strike Cruiser Lore and the Frigate Eidolin. However the New Republic task force was reinforced by Republic Shield forces led by the Victory Star Destroyer Overseer, which quickly swept through the combat zone, devastating the capture efforts, and gradually pushing back the Imperial task force. Despite the Republic Shield force’s efforts, a sustained bombardment from the Calamari Cruiser Sagittarius savaged the New Republic command ship Sulu, annihilating the Strike Cruiser. This significant victory was tainted slightly by the rescue of the three disabled New Republic warships, which had been repaired by assault transport group Celia from the Overseer, and limped from the combat zone, escaping to hyperspace. At this turn of events, the vessel followed the Calamari Cruiser Sagittarius’s lead and joined the Imperial withdrawal from the engagement zone, seemingly signalling victory for Republic Shield forces. However, the withdrawal of the Sagittarius’s strike force was merely a distraction for a second task force which ambushed the Overseer, and resulted in the successful Imperial capture of the Victory Star Destroyer. (RgF405)

Led Imperial forces to the Escort Carrier Gemini, which was broadcasting a wide-band distress signal. Upon arriving in the area near the Gemini, the stage was revealed to be a trap, with the Interdictor Chains of Justice using its interdiction field to prevent the Imperial task force from withdrawing as Republic Shield forces descended upon them, pummelling the attack force. With the assistance of the Frigate Virgo, the vessel attempted to secure the combat zone in preparation for reclamation operations of the Gemini, however Republic Shield forces did not relent, and the Imperial attack force was broken. The vessel fell along with the Frigate Virgo, allowing Republic Shield forces a major victory against the Zodiac Battle Fleet. Destroyed by Republic Shield forces. (RgF408)
