Dylantia Bonaparte, or just Bonaparte, is an expatriate from Corellia. He is currently awaiting reassignment, as he has just returned from other duties that called him back to his homeworld.

Before the RS

Little is known about Bonaparte's childhood or parents, even to him. He grew up in orphanages in and around Coronet City, passed around from place to place. He never stayed in one long, preferring to stay away from familiarity. He attributes this time in his life that he became such a good hand-to-hand combatant, as well as a tendency for being very closed off to people. When he was 16, he applied to the Corellian Security Force, to be trained as an agent. This was about ten years before the Battle of Yavin.

His training in CorSec taught him a great deal about leadership, as well as the creation of a core group of friends that he acquired that were loyal personally to him. Bonaparte had saved each of their lives on numerous occasions. They included Apollo Phaedaleus, Ares Phoebus, Dona and Darna Lorana, and a number of others. They comprised the training unit that Bonaparte trained with, as well as once he attained agency, would work closely with for the next thirteen years.

When Daclif Gallamby reorganized CorSec into the Public Safety Service, Bonaparte and his comrades were infuriated. They viewed this as a mockery to the history of CorSec, and a useless gesture in trying to prevent crime. They agreed wholeheartedly with Corran Horn on his assessment of the PSS, that they just snooped and wasn't concerned with real policing. Due to this, they broke off contact with their handlers, and went underground. Creating a small, highly trained army of his own, Bonaparte began terrorizing the PSS with the intent of supporting membership into the New Republic. Taking the rank of Captain, along with his lieutenants (Phaedaleus, Phoebus and the Loranas), they struck at PSS outposts, peripheral units and other such weak targets in order to prove to the Corellian government and citizens that the PSS couldn't be trusted. Eventually, his actions caught the eye of a New Republic agent who was operating in Coronet City, and who staged a little raid by the PSS, just to make sure that Bonaparte and his crew were actually good enough to be recruited. Bonaparte succeeded in the recruiter's test, and was assigned to the Rebel Squadrons, operating out of the Greeop Sector, leaving Phaedaleus in charge of terrorizing the PSS.

RS Service

Bonaparte went through accelerated training in the Rebel Squadrons Academy, graduating as a Master Cadet with Honors, gaining a promotion to 2nd Lieutenant right off the bat. He was then placed under the command of Colonel Misko Markot in Red Squadron. Flying with Red Squadron for just over two years, he also assumed command of Operation Lanvarok, a side operation based off of the FRG Blitzkrieg.

Two years after he joined, he was called back to Corellia by Apollo Phaedaleus, and a New Republic cell there, to attempt to finally overthrow the Diktat and install a New Republic Governor-General. After the better part of two years, they finally succeeded, and Corellia was finally instated into the New Republic. A few months later, a call was issued to all former Red Squadron pilots that the squadron was being reformed. Bonaparte decided that he was needed back in the Greeop Sector, so leaving Phaedaleus in command again, he took off. Colonel Jan-lo Sunner was rather surprised when he showed up, but gave him a roster spot right away. He flew off and on for the next year, also spending some time in the commando ranks. His training back on Corellia led him to be the Boot Camp Commanding Officer, in charge of all new Privates that came through the Commando Academy. He eventually was force to retire due to some issues that had come up back on Corellia in the military. They had asked him to return to be a training officer in their Academy, for flying, commando, and general command staff training.

Three years after that, an itch started forming on Bonaparte's stick hand, and he decided that he needed to give another the Rebel Squadrons another go. He had also acquired some overall strategic abilities and war planning in his stint at the Corellian Military Academy. He hopes that this gives him an edge in a Rebel Squadrons that looks drastically different than the one he left three years before.
