About

The Empire at War Under-graduate Course (short EaW UG Course) is here to make sure that new members have the necessary skills to be able to participate in the Rebel Squadrons' Empire at War unit, the Righteous Indignation Division (short RID).

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the EaW academy there are some requirements that must be met.

  • Must be at least LJG
  • Must be active during time in the EaW Academy

All submissions must be sent to the current EaW Instructor in this case Teu Veld.

There are three levels of graduation; each level has different requirements in addition to the ones above.

Cadet - Award: Ribbon:

  • Play the RID ITOD 101 mission and send a screenshot of the results screen to the EaW UG Instructor. The RID ITOD 101 mission can be downloaded here.

Senior Cadet - Award: Medal:

  • Play the RID ITOD 101 mission and send a screenshot of the results screen to the EaW Instructor.
  • For the second part of this, you have a choice. You may choose to:
  • a) Write a Personal Narrative, narrative, which should have at least 2 paragraphs describing what happened in your mission run (500 words or more).

OR

  • b) Play at least one Multiplayer match with another RID member. To arrange a match use Xfire or go to the IRC channel #RID. Take a screenshot during that match and send the EaW Instructor that screenshot.

Master Cadet with Honors - Award: Medal:

  • Play the RID ITOD 101 mission and send a screenshot of the results screen to the EaW Instructor.
  • Write a Personal Narrative (500 word MINIMUM)
  • Play a MultiPlayer match with another RID member and send in the screenshot of the results page.

To get into action you have to unzip the mission file and save it to your EaW/GameData/Data/CustomMaps folder. (If you have saved the game into its default directory, you should find the EaW directory in the C:/Program Files/Lucasarts directory)

Note: You may have to create a folder in the directory named “CustomMaps” to put the mission file in.

  • Heroes, starting units and superweapons are all OFF.

  • Mission to be played on medium game speed. (If you haven't changed it, it should be on medium by default). Forwarding the speed in game is not allowed.
