Personality Profile:

Captain Darkstar has a natural tendency to marshal and direct. This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. As a result, Captain Darkstar requires little encouragement to make a plan. For example, his personality type may put it this way... "I make these little plans that really don't have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out." While "compelled" may not describe Captain Darkstar, nevertheless the bent to plan creatively and to make those plans reality is a common theme for his personality type.

Captain Darkstar may often seem "larger than life" in describing his projects or proposals. This ability may be expressed as salesmanship, story-telling facility or stand-up comedy. In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our "hero" can make it very difficult for the customer to decline.

Captain Darkstar can be described as being decisive. He sees what needs to be done, and frequently assigns roles to those under his command. Few other types can equal his ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, Captain Darkstar may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: Captain. Darkstar is not one to be trifled with.

Further study suggests that despite the heavy indoctrination applied by the Empire, Captain Darkstar is in fact an idealist. Idealists want to search for Self, to become themselves, to have a goal, a purpose in life, to be self-actualized, to be and become real, to be what they are meant to be and to have an identity which is uniquely theirs, to become self-actualized into a perfect whole and to have an identity which is perfectly unique, to have meaning, to have their significance appreciated, or at the very least, recognized as existing, to have integrity, that is unity, with no facade, no mask, no pretense, no sham, no playing of roles, to be genuine, to communicate authentically, to be in harmony with the inner experiences of self, to avoid a life of bad faith, to live a life of significance, making a difference in the world, to experience life as a drama, to be sensitive to the subtle gestures and metaphoric behavior in relationships, to help others become kinder, warmer, and more loving human beings, to reform the world, to romanticize their experiences, their lives, and the experiences and lives of others

Psychological Profile:

Captain Darkstar suffers from, in my opinion, a mild form of bi-polar disorder. Bipolar disorder, once known as manic-depression, is a psychiatric diagnosis referring to a mental health condition defined by periods of extreme, often inappropriate, and sometimes unpredictable mood states.

Bipolar individuals generally experience mania, hypomania or mixed states alternating with clinical depression and euthymic or normal range of mood over varied periods of time. There are many variations of this disorder. A person with bipolar disorder generally tends to experience more extreme states of mood than other people. Moods can change quickly (many times a day) or last for months. Bipolar individuals tend to have very 'black and white' thinking, where everything in life is either a positive aspect or a negative. Mood patterns of this nature are associated with distress and disruption, and a relatively high risk of suicide. Bipolar disorder is also associated with a variety of cognitive deficits, in particular, difficulty in organizing and planning. The disorder may also skew the ability to judge others' emotion, and alter sense of awareness.

It is my opinion that due to the mild nature of the illness, Captain Darkstar does not suffer from the more damaging and severe effects of the illness. I recommend he continues with a course of counselling and medication, as he has done for the majority of his life to great effect. As well as being linked to disability, there is a clear correlation between creativity and bipolar disorder, and although it is unclear what the relationship is between the two, Captain Darkstar definately seems to be one of the few to gain this benefit. I would also suggest this has led to an increased striving for, and sometimes obtaining, goals and achievements more generally; in other words, Captain Darkstar tends to be more driven, extremely goal oriented, and hard working as a result of his Bi-polar disorder.

Note: Captain Darkstar often suffers from a re-occuring nightmare, the stress of which often causes him to awaken with a migrane. I recommend further exploration on the subject.

14BBY - 12BBY: COMPNOR Sub-Adult Group / Imperial Navy Youth Corps.

While in the INTC, he distinguished himself as quite a pilot, and he quickly distinguished himself in the top percentile of his class. He seemed to have an innate ability with weapons and hand to hand combat, and the instructors were keen to monopolise on this trait. Captain Darkstar was soon learning everything on offer and upon his graduation, received commendations for his performance.

12BBY - 0BBY: 501st Legion : Vader's Fist / TIE Figher Corps: Black Squadron

Assigned the TK ID of 511, Captain Darkstar saw action as a front-line trooper during the phase-out of clone-based troopers to standardized conscripts. Inducted into COMPNOR's Select Committee during this time. Additionally, due to his skills as a pilot, he was chosen to participate in the high-profile missions of the Black Squadron, which like the 501st, was commanded by Lord Vader. He was given the Callsign Wraith, a name which he continues to use to this day as a fighter pilot. Captain Darkstar suggests that the heavy indoctrination of his training, followed by the iron will of Lord Vader made it extremely difficult to question orders, and it wasn't until he met Colonel Crix Madine during his Commando training that he would begin to see the galaxy with open eyes for the first in a long time.

0ABY - 4(months)ABY: Imperial Storm Commando School - Carida

Under the tutilidge of Colonel Crix Madine and later Colonel Jenn Smeel, Captain Darkstar was among the very first to be trained as a Storm Commando. While Captain Darkstar had much respect and admiration for his mentor Colonel Madine, he often clashed with Colonel Smeel, which caused him to be removed from the project and transferred elsewhere.

4(months)ABY - 6(months)ABY: Imperial Guard Academy - Yinchorr / Imperial Center - Coruscant Trained in law enforcement as a Coruscant Guard and was briefing assigned to Imperial Center on Coruscant in order to complete his training and familiarize himself with patrol tactics.

6(months)ABY - 2ABY: 488th Law Enforcement Division - Tatooine, Outer Rim / Naboo, Mid Rim

Captain Darkstar was assigned to the 488 LED after the completetion of his Guard training, a unit which he would eventually command upon the retirement of his best friend and CO Captain Cyras DeVelera. Captain Darkstar suggests this to be the time when his sympathy for the Alliance began to be cultivated, experiencing first-hand the harsh conditions under which Galactic Citizens were expected to live. It was also during this time that Captain Darkstar established an Alliance Safe House within the city of Farpoint on Tatooine, giving shelter and information to Alliance Operatives. Despite many attempts to get him to defect to the Alliance, Captain Darkstar felt he could achieve change far easier within the Empire, rather than against it, and sealed a pact among other Imperial Officers, of whom he counted among his closest friends, to assassinate the Emperor and Vader and place an elected official at the head of the Imperial Governement. This group was later discovered by Imperial Intelligence, and those captured gave their lives to ensure their comrades identities remained hidden.

2ABY - 2.5ABY: SpecNav Project - Base D8-Red : Ringali Nebula

Despite being removed from the Storm Commando Project, due to personality clashes with its' Commanding Officer, Captain Darkstar was selected to participate in the Navy's SpecNav Project. Imperial SpecNav Troopers are very much a secret, the Rebel Alliance and even most of the Imperial Navy is blind to their existence. The men selected for this duty are large as Stormtroopers, and are hazardous, deceptively swift and deathly quiet, crafty and profoundly skilled. SpecNav Troops are the Imperial Navy's most elite unit. The conception of the SpecNav program is a noteworthy effort between the Imperial Navy and Ubiqtorate (Imperial Intelligence). In the Imperial Navy's case, it wanted to eliminate its reliance on the Imperial Army to land and establish beachheads on planets; thus formidable soldiers were needed. Meanwhile, Ubiqtorate wanted to have mobile Intelligence operatives based onboard far-flung ships that on a moment's notice could be deployed on sensitive missions.

2.5ABY: 13th Black Order Division - Naboo , Mid Rim Upon completion of his SpecNav training, he was inserted into the 13th when the Navy decided to covertly place a SpecNav trooper in every unit. However, during his time with the 13th his distaste for the tactics and atrocities of the Empire, grew to such an extent that he disappeared during an operation and was listed as AWOL / MIA, presumed dead or defector.

At Present: Having realised at last that the only way to see real change in the galaxy would be to bring about a total end of the Empire, he made it known through the channels he maintained on Tatooine, that he wished to defect. After a short time, he was contacted by General Lija Fearless of the 6th SpecForce Division, vetted and elisted into the ranks of the Alliance, where he now finds himself working to restore peace to the galaxy.
