Imperial vessel. Part of the Star Destroyer Belligerent’s task force.

    History

Led Imperial ambush against the Dreadnaught Resurrection during its reconnaissance operation from New Trassk Base near a red planet (#28) with a brown rocky moon (#8). The vessel and its task force of accompanying Lancer Frigates lay in wait as the Resurrection was driven from a region of space where the Star Destroyer Belligerent’s task force was stationed, leading the Dreadnaught directly into the vessel’s zone of command. Despite the valiant defensive efforts of the Resurrection’s accompanying reconnaissance force, the ship was conquered. However, before its destruction, the crew transmitted the reconnaissance data to the escorting vessel, which fled back to New Trassk Base with the information on the Imperial presence in the areas surrounding New Trassk Base. (IBG406)

Led an Imperial task force in wait near a yellow nebula (#101), hoping to ambush any Republic Shield forces heading to reinforce New Trassk Base. Successfully baited a Republic Shield task force led by the Assault Frigate Chiin'tal. However, the battle went awry for Imperial forces, as the Lancer Frigate Neutraliser’s reactor core was damaged in the battle, causing the entire ship to explode, and the Escort Carrier Justifier became disabled, its cargo of assault gunboats still awaiting launch in its hangar bays. A Republic Shield capture operation began on the Justifier and the Hypnotic withdrew from the engagement when it too came under fire allowing Republic Shield forces to not only reinforce New Trassk Base, but also to capture the Escort Carrier Justifier and its contents. (IBG407)

Part of Imperial attack force led by the Star Destroyer Belligerent in an engagement against New Trassk Base and the defending Republic Shield forces, led by the Calamari Cruiser Rebel Fist. The bulk of the defending forces were blocking the way to the platform, while other elements of the fleet surrounded the Imperial attack force, diffusing the focus of the attack. Directly engaged the Strike Cruiser Dragon's Fire, which was attacking the left flank of the Imperial formation. The skirmish with the Dragon’s Fire did not fare well, as the Modified Frigate Celestial Fury backed up the Strike Cruiser, hammering the vessel into defeat. After an extensive battle the Imperial attack line was broken, allowing Republic Shield forces to concentrate their attacks on separated individual Imperial ships. As the Imperial flagship, the Belligerent was significantly targeted by Republic Shield forces, with its fall heralding the loss of almost the entire Imperial attack force. The Victory Star Destroyer Dominator was the only Imperial ship able to escape, albeit heavily damaged. Destroyed by Republic Shield forces. (IBG408)
