Name: Jackson Porter

Rank: Second Lieutenant

Jackson was born on Corellia to Remus and Mila Porter. About a year after his birth, Jackson's parents were both killed by Imperial stormtroopers that raided their town looking for Rebels. He was taken in by the government, who discovered that he had an aunt that lived in a southern province. His aunt, named Tasha, was a nice person with a warm heart. She lived in a somewhat remote area outside of the capital, one that never attracted much attention to either the Empire or Rebellion.

His years in school went fairly well. Jackson made many friends and quickly became a popular kid in his school. When he was 16, he became involved with a girl his age named Alana. They hit if off quite well, and their relationship lasted up until a few weeks before his 18th birthday. On their way home from the market, Jackson and Alana were caught up in a rare gunfight between Imperial attack troopers and Rebel troops, who were trying to protect the civilians. As they were running away form the battle with two Rebel officers, Alana was shot in the lower back by an Imperial blaster. Jackson managed to pull her to saftey down an alley as one of the Rebels was shot and killed. While the remaining Rebel shot back at the Imperial forces, Jackson sat down with Alana's head in his lap. She reached up to stroke his cheek as he held her close, and whispered her last words to him: I love you.

When he was old enough, Jackson applied, and was accepted, to the Academy. He has many friends in different squadrons, all who he cares deeply about. Fortunately, though, he has a great ability to not let the death of a friend get to him to the point where it effects his ability to properly serve and follow orders, a characteristic that his CO's have found to be a valuable asset.

Since that horrible day years ago, Jackson has had the utmost hatred for the Empire. Any time a report came in that the Rebellion had struck back against the Empire, Jackson cheered them on. On a couple occasions, Jackson has gotten himself into some "skirmishes" with Imperial supporters in bars, which one time, landed him in a medical facility with a major laceration on his left leg. He still limps a little from it, but not enough to keep him from duty. The irony is that the knife that was used on him was his own boot knife that he carries on himself.

As mentioned, Jackson's "bad boy" attitude has sometimes gotten him in trouble, but it's also served as a driving force, whether in a game or in a battle. But despite his hatred for the Empire, there are many more "enjoyable" sides to Jackson. One thing Jackson's know for is his brains. On one of his Academy exams, he set the record for the highest score ever. He was even asked to go and work for Rebel Intelligence, but chose to stay with piloting. Once his mind is set on certain things, it's almsot impossible to change it.
