A large variety of things to do here, and it might take a lot of work.  Things to consider:

* awarding points for sitting on IRC, signed up for a match (e.g. 1 pt for 15 mins on the XvT waitlist)

* an IRC bot + ORW3 website ([[IO]] can supply the latter; talk to Shik or the [[DJB]] for the former)

* which clubs to include

* decide on a System and Planets or assests (shipyard, munitions factory) that are the "prize."

* establish criteria for winning each Planet or asset so that ORW III lasts long enough.

The Operations Office is tasked with supervising the RS' presence in multiplayer competitions as well as keeping track of participation in said competitions.

Outer Rim War III

Outer Rim War III planning is currently in the works. The invited clubs have all sent representatives to an ORW Council which is currently debating the proposed rules for the competition. After this debate, the Council will set a start date for the competition. Things that still need to be done include:

  • Coding an IRC bot + ORW3 website (Jon and the IO are working on these, hopefully with the help of Dessan of the DJB)
  • Possibly bringing more clubs into the competition than we have right now (Jon has contacted more clubs)
  • Finalizing fictional background information (The Logistics Office is hard at work on this)

Other Possible Projects

  • For every major MP game we play, make a list of the clubs that also play that game (e.g. in WoWs and Ecliptical Realms), along with their characteristics, skills, and a contact person
  • Actually join as many clubs as possible to see how they work; make friends with as many people in other clubs as you can
  • Keep the calendar updated - it really only takes 10 minutes or less a week
  • Move ERC to the bottom of the main page, and make their link be from archive.org - the current site is down (well, they probably disbanded)
