Syntax Stax

An old friend of Randy Starkiller, the Verpine named Syntax Stax, known to his friends as "Stax", is a highly trained and qualified starship engineer.

History

He started his career with the Verpine starship design firm Slayn & Korpil, but soon decided to move on to bigger and better things. He got a job at Sienar Fleet Systems as a starship designer, and worked on the TIE Interceptor project. Quickly proving himself to Raith Sienar as a highly competant engineer, he was shifted to the Sienar Advanced Products Laboratory to work on special projects, such as early design on the TIE Defender. He also set to work on engineering a redesign of the Immobilizer-418 Interdictor-class Heavy Cruiser which, due to cost and the Imperial defeat Battle of Endor, never entered production.

He was fired shortly after the Battle of Yavin when a group of people approached him about helping design a cheap starfighter to counter the TIE series and he accepted, believing their story that they were with a starship design firm hired by the Empire to counter growing numbers of TIEs in the hands of the Rebellion. Sienar quickly found out about this project and reported it to the Empire. The Empire, discovering that the contractors were rebels, had Stax blacklisted and fired from his position at Sienar Advanced Projects Laboratory.
