+ | ::Well, I disagreed, of course to that "lowered" comment. Encyclopedias frequently have that sort of information. Stuff like that adds depth to the fictional universe. It is as in-universe as one can get. Anyway, about the pronunciations themselves, I doubt "not everyone" means that that there was some heated debates. I didn't notice anything in the discussion tabs. Anyway, it was never meant to be the final say or the final system used.
