The Training Office (TO) is designed to educate RSers, whether they just joined a minute ago and need to learn about the RS, or are longtime members and want to learn something new. This is essentially the same as the old Academy, with two exceptions. First, it is an Executive Office, not a Fleet. Second, it does not supervise the "undergraduate fleet academies," in which cadets learn how to fly, report, and write for their specific fleets. This is now a responsibility of the individual fleets themselves.

The aspects of the TO can be broadly divided into "undergraduate" and "postgraduate", where graduation is defined as reaching the rank of Lt. j.g. or higher.
