RC-1313 "Carbon" is an Ex-Republic Commando who served near the end of the Clone Wars. when Order 66 was issued, he, like many other commandos and arc troopers, disobeyed and fled to Mandolore with the Cuy'val Dar where he took on the name Soryn Inek and integrated more fully into the Mandolorian culture. After escaping the Great Purge, he started getting by on mercenary work, often helping the Rebel Alliance as rogue agent instead of joining them as proper member of their fleet. It wasnt until after the battle of Endor that he finally joined the New Republic Army, and was eventually shipped out to the edge of the galaxy to be assigned to the Rebel Squadrons as Diamond 12.
Soryn has several DNA aberrations from the standard clone template, including purple eyes instead of brown, and one that slowed his aging at adult hood until he had the same physical age of someone of his actual age.
His first mission was immediately upon his arrival, when he received orders from the Windstorm to offer support to a battle already in progress on the surface of Tarsonis.
Not long after, he volunteered to join the ground team during Operation Hammerfall, helping formulate an infiltration plan involving orbital dropping in stripped down escape pods. the infiltration was a success, but the team was scattered across the surface of the planet. He, His astromech droid R7-C4, and Galen Mcgrath landed in a lake in the jungles of the northern continent of Dened, where they rigged their pods with explosives as a trap for any Titan search parties and fled through the forest, coming upon a small farm where they hijacked a T-16 skyhopper, flying it into the mountains to lay low until the search parties were recalled. Later they finally arrived in the coastal settlement of Geruva to scout out the situation there, but by this time, the rest of the team had already activated the intelligence beacon, broadcasting their gathered intel to the fleet and giving away their presence.
