== History ==

R4-XL, more commonly known by his nickname WarHog is the assigned modified Astromech droid and companion of [[Mia StormChaser]], and serves most notably on StormChaserâ€™s X-Wing, ''[[WildCard Two]]''.

Originally supplied to the ISD II ''[[Redemption]]'' when the ship was still in Imperial hands, R4 contrary to his original programming began to despise his cruel autocratic masters. Despite the threat of permanent deactivation, R4-XL began to perform his duties below par where possible, until finally was stored as a deficient unit and marked for disposal. 

Luckily for R4 shortly before his termination could take place, the ''Redemption'' was taken over by Republic and desperately short of Astromech Units, his condition was reassessed but Republic technicians as was assigned [[Vigilance Starfighter Group]]. During his operational re-assessment, a Republic technician installed additional skill packages onto R4, including basic starfighter piloting skills not normally associated with an R4 series Astromech.

On learning of his change of ownership, R4 was more than happy to now perform his duties to the best of abilities. R4 became noteworthy for his active participation in recently saving the life of [[Mia StormChaser]], single-handedly piloting her crippled ship ''[[WildCard Two]]'' to safety.

When she recovered, StormChaser in recognition of the droidâ€™s tenacity has nickname R4 â€˜WarHogâ€™ and a close bond has formed between the pair.
