Greatest ground based Star wars RTS ever. Bar none. No contest
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its expansion Clone Campaigns are a pair of Real Time Strategy (RTS) games built off of the AOE2 game engine. This game was once supported by the Rebel Squadrons under the purview of the Strategic and Tactical Command wing (in Redemption Fleet), along with the game Star Wars: Rebellion. Although the game supported multiplayer gameplay and came with a very functional and relatively easy-to-use map editing program, the group did not garner a lot of interest and as such steadily fought a downhill battle with regards to membership and participation. Although no longer "officially" supported by the Rebel Squadrons, matches can still be found on occassion during the weekly ICTE competitions hosted on IRC on Saturdays.

Update: No longer best Star Wars RTS. (In my opinion it wasn't overly great to start with anyway, but that's besides the point). Empire At War is the best Star Wars RTS.
