The Outer Rim War II, or ORW2 for short, was the sequel to the first Outer Rim War, and was a major multiplayer competition that took place during 2002. Like the first ORW, it was a competition on a much-larger scale than the early Minos Conflict.

ORW2 was fought out over the fictional Binaural Sector, a part of the Cadrel Expanse, with each couple of weeks representing the battle over one star system within that sector of space. Like its predecessor, ORW2 was an immensely complicated competition to put together. The channel used to govern each night of competition was once again #outerrim. In the end, the RS emerged the victor of the competition, winning the majority of systems in the Binaural Sector.
