In accordance with the Galactic Standard Calendar, there are three festival days in each year, during which celebrations are held outside the normal counting of weeks and months.

The celebrations of the festival days have existed for many years, however they are under different names and with different symbolisms today than during the days of the Old Republic or the Empire.

The three festival days recognised and celebrated by the New Republic are Endor Day, Restoration Day, and Liberation Day.
