Before the Battle of Yavin
Lespin was a courier pilot who just flew around transporting people and light cargo from place to place in his Nova.
After the Battle of Yavin
He joined the Alliance wanting to learn how to dogfight, and they gave him a rifle so he could help out on the ground when needed. He had his sister, Becki, upgrade his Nova to handle some combat as well.
