Republic Shield forces were contesting the Imperial assault, but the vessel led reinforcements in intensifying the Imperial attack. Despite inflicting serious damage to the Emancipator, the Tyrannian evacuees survived the battle and entered the Emancipator’s hangar. However, before the Emancipator could be overwhelmed by Imperial forces, the Calamari Cruiser Aeneas arrived to bolster Republic Shield defences, preventing Imperial forces from destroying the escapees.
