The Rebel Squadrons Order of Battle Database is an online database of the frontline ships within the Rebel Squadrons Fleet, as recognized by the Fleet Commander. The Order of Battle is a comprehensive and organized listing of every official ship in the Rebel Squadrons' arsenal, along with specific information on the ship, every ship class, and the RS units that call that ship a home. This differs from the Logisitcs Office's Naval Register in that the Order of Battle covers only active Rebel Squadrons ships whereas the Naval Register covers ALL vessels encountered during the combat history of the Rebel Squadrons Fleet.

== Order of Battle ==

Below is a list of all RS capital ships encountered in the Fleet ITODs or on the online Order of Battle.

== Canon Information ==
=== ''Imperial''-class Star Destroyers ===
Based on information gathered about canon New Republic Defense Fleet battle groups (such as the New Republic Fifth Battle Group) we can infer that each battle group is approximately 100 ships in strength, composed of five task forces of approximately 20 ships each. We also know that a starfighter wing contains 3-4 squadrons of approximately 12 pilots each.
*<del>''Emancipator''</del> — last seen in September, 2002. Returned to New Republic
*<del>''Liberator''</del> — last seen in January, 2005. Returned to New Republic
*''Wyvern'' — last seen in October, 2004
*''Prometheus'' — incumbent
*''Redemption'' — last seen in August, 2002. Redemption Fleet flagship.
*<del>''"Menace"''</del> (captured Imperial ship) — only seen in November, 2005. Scrapped to provide replacements parts for the ''Wyvern'', ''Prometheus'' and ''Redemption''

=== Mon Calamari Star Cruisers ===
*''Aeneas'' — last seen in August, 1998. Possibly a New Republic ship
*''Windstorm'' — incumbent
*''McGrath'' — last seen in May, 2006
*''Valour'' — last seen in September, 2004
*<del>''Engel''</del> — decomissioned in February, 2002
*''Rebel Fist'' — incumbent
*''Ad Astra'' — last seen in April, 2006
*''Odin'' — last seen in August, 2002. Academy flagship
*<del>''Peacemaker''</del> — decomissioned in October, 2003
*''Stingray'' — last seen in May, 2005
*''Suprema Lex'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)

A common carrier group or task force might have the following configuration:
=== Assault Frigates ===
* One Battlecruiser
*''Titan'' — incumbent
* Two Heavy Crusiers
*''Chiin'tal'' — incumbent
* Two Star Crusiers
*''Swift Tide'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
* Four Escort Frigates
*''New Dawn'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
* Five Gunships
*''Castor's Hope'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
* Six Picket Ships
* Numerous Support Craft

=== ''Dreadnaught''-class Heavy Cruisers ===
*<del>''Resurrection''</del> — destroyed in May, 2004
*''Star Fire'' — last seen in August, 2002

*''Lockness'' — last seen in July, 2002
*''Peril'' — last seen in July, 2003. Redemption Fleet ex-flagship
*''Resurrection II'' — incumbent

== Continuity Issues ==
=== Mon Calamari Light Star Cruisers ===
*''Kalinga'' — incumbent
*''Madron'' — incumbent
*''Mercy'' — only seen in March, 2003. Possibly a New Republic ship
*''Pegasus'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
*''Obi-Wan'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
*''Reliant'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)

=== Size ===
=== Immobiliser 418 Cruisers ===
There are some major concerns in reguards to the overbloating of the RS Fleet. The Rebel Squadrons is approximately one-fourth (1/4) the size of the New Republic Defense Fleet at our current point in the timeline.
*''Rejuvenator'' — only seen in March, 2000
*''Senate'' — last seen July, 2003
*''Chains of Justice'' — incumbent
*''Collapser'' — last seen July, 2002
*''Raging Dragon'' — last seen December, 2004

=== Escort Carriers ===
*''Krayt'' — incumbent

=== ''Strike''-class Medium Cruisers ===
*''Dragon's Fire'' — incumbent
*''Blood Fang'' — incumbent
*''Hammer of Justice'' — incumbent
*''Kayak'' — incumbent
*''Apostate'' — last seen December, 2004

=== Misnomers ===
=== SC01 Nebulon-C Frigates ===
What we generally refer to as a "fleet" would be a task force or carrier group in proper military terms. As a whole, the Rebel Squadrons would currently be battle group in reference to the New Republic Defense Fleet.
*''Idiot's Array'' — incumbent

== Ideal Configuration A ==
=== EF76 Nebulon-B2 Frigates ===
This requires a lot of downsizing, but is very realistic as an attached task force of the New Republic Defense Fleet. We could probably pull off having more (and from a tactical point of view it might be preferred) picket ships, but not any more of the larger capital ships.
*''Angelfire'' — incumbent
*''Crimson Flame'' — last seen in January, 2002. Redemption Fleet ship
*''Resistance'' — last seen in June, 2002
*''Celestial Fury'' — incumbent
*''"Shadow"'' (captured Imperial ship) — only seen in November, 2005
*''Arcanus'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)
*''Warcry'' — no attested appearances (from online Order of Battle)

=== EF76 Nebulon-B Frigates ===
*''Echo Hawk'' — last seen April, 2005
*<del>''Gunship''</del> — destroyed April, 2001
*<del>''Striker''</del> — destroyed April, 2001

''[[Order of Battle Draft]]''

Revision as of 15:44, 14 October 2006
