Vigilance Starfighter Group (VSG) is the unit that is based on both X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance. It was founded on November 21, 2006 by the merger of the RgF and the IBG.

The VSG Training Officer
The VSG Training Officer (TO) is the commanding officer of the VSG Training Office. This office exists to provide instruction and assistance to new members of the Vigilance Starfighter Group. Information on custom mission installation, flying multiplayer, and creating mission narratives is available for both platforms (XvT and XWA). The Training Office is also the administrative home of Marshall Squadron.
History
The VSG Training Office was opened in January 2007, shortly after the creation of the VSG, to free up the Fleet CO from instructing Cadets. Information was compiled and updated from the old Renegade Fleet and IBG academy websites to create the VSG Academy website.
