• Robbe Nostler of the Galactic News Network was stationed on Indu San.
• The Corellian Times became one of the best financial newsfeeds available in the galaxy.
• Bancor Armaments began to produce personal-safety weapons.
• The Empire established an interdiction field around the Rafa system.
• Armennion Ullgusta wrote two damaging documentaries, titled The Edict of Jiaan and Obeisance: Betrayal Within, also rumoured to have been produced by Pret Swain. These two documentaries highlighted many aspects of the purge of the Jedi Knights, and earned Ullgusta a place on the Empire's most wanted list.
• The Pan-Tapani Historical Society was formed at the Mrlsst Academy by Arkeld.
• Jarred Sneel's anti-droid-exploitation Mechanical Liberation Front staged hit-and-run assaults on droid companies like Industrial Automata and MerenData.
• Wilm Olgreen's Olgreen Intelligence Guild protested droid cruelty by blockading reclamation factories.
• As rebellious activities continued, Moff Wilhufff Tarkin presented the Tarkin Doctrine to Emperor Palpatine as a suggestion that the Empire be under greater military control. This proposal also called for a superweapon to extinguish the rebellious groups in the Empire. The proposal was accepted, Tarkin was promoted to the new position of Grand Moff, and the project to make the superweapon Tarkin suggested was Project Death Star. Pleased with himself, Tarkin returned to Eriadu for the time being.
• General Zakar took over Imperial operations on Garos IV.
• Miletta Sabrin became Governor of the Renillis system.
