Blerthmore is a barren, lifeless planet that is the capital world of the Rebel Squadrons and serves as the location of the high tech Fleet Domed Command Complex. This well-defended military facility is the only populated spot on the planet and one of two garrisons in the Greeop System. Surrounding the planet are three Rebel Squadron orbital platform bases that serve as defensive, training, and homes bases for the Flagship Battle Group, Redemption Fleet, and RS Academy. The orbital platform, BASE Castor, serves as the Rebel Squadrons Academy's primary training center. One of Blerthmore's three moons, Uio, houses the Aegis Communications Control which is an advanced communications center that serves as the nexus of all Rebel Squadron's battle fleet and ground inter-system and intra-system communications. Also in orbit is the Eagle's Nest Shipyard Repair and Service Facility, which serves as the primary maintenance center for every capital ship in the Rebel Squadrons.
The planet has huge ice caps formed at each pole, probably made possible because of the extreme tilt of the planet on its axis. Blerthmore also has a very thin nitrogen atmosphere with very little oxygen. Other than that, it is a fairly uninteresting world. It was chosen as the location for the fleet command center because its large canyons provide suitable defense and there is no risk to any local populace.
In the devastating Battle of Blerthmore, Bases Castor and Raptor were destroyed, the Aegis Communications Control was reduced to slag, and the Fleet Domed Command Complex was so badly damaged that it was rendered uninhabitable. Blerthmore's defenses have been seriously compromised, with only the Base Stalwart remaining to protect the shipyards.
