History
Part of Republic Shield reinforcements led by the Frigate Unforgiven against Imperial forces who had ambushed the Ad Astra, which had been forcibly pulled from hyperspace by the Interdictor Event Horizon a sizable distance from the supply platform Terminus that the Calamari Cruiser was attempting to reach. The Ad Astra has lost shield systems and sustained serious hull damage by the time the Unforgiven led Republic Shield reinforcements to its defence. Transport group Shock launched from the Unforgiven, and Republic Shield forces struck back at the Imperial forces, destroying the Frigate Daveen I and the Dreadnaught Skami, and wounding the Interdictor Event Horizon. The Event Horizon attempted to flee, but was also crushed by Republic Shield reinforcements. (RgF306)
Led Republic Shield forces in defence of the Imperial Strike Cruiser Apostate, which was attempting to defect to Republic Shield forces. An Imperial task force led by the Frigate Daveen II was pursuing the Strike Cruiser in an attempt to reclaim the wayward Strike Cruiser. The transport Sigma arrived before the vessel and deployed a field of ion cannon-equipped mines to help overload the Apostate’s shield systems. Despite the assistance of Republic Shield forces, the Frigate Daveen II arrived and directly engaged the vessel and disabled it. A boarding party onboard the escort shuttle Omega attempted to board and capture the vessel, however Republic Shield forces destroyed the capture ship before the operation could be executed. The corvette Apollo arrived with a repair crew, and set about repairing the Strike Cruiser to continue its flight. Republic Shield forces defended the repair operation until its completion. The Apostate then continued on its run to the hyperspace point; however the Escort Carrier Nebula reinforced the Imperial attack force and led Imperial forces in an attempt to destroy the ship. Republic Shield reinforcements arrived in the form of the Calamari Cruiser Stingray, which proved an effective counter to the Nebula. Both the Frigate Daveen II and the Escort Carrier Nebula were defeated in the engagement. The Strike Cruiser finally reached its exit vector, and made the jump to hyperspace safely, while Republic Shield forces covered its exit from the area. (RgF308)
Led Republic Shield forces in defence of the meeting between Republic Shield Commanding Officer General Sconn aboard the Interdictor Raging Dragon, and defecting Imperial forces aboard the Strike Cruiser Apostate. Led Republic Shield defences against the Strike Cruiser Dimoran, which was broadcasting a fake transponder signal, posing as the defecting Strike Cruiser Apostate until the real Apostate arrived to expose the deception. Led Republic Shield and defected forces against the Dimoran and its forces, securing the area for the meeting to take place. Co-ordinated area security while the Apostate docked with the Raging Dragon, and guarded the vessels while the meeting took place. Imperial reinforcements led by the Frigate Pestilence and backed by the Strike Cruiser Banton arrived to continue the Imperial attack on the meeting between defecting Imperial forces and Republic Shield forces. Led defence forces against the Imperial interlopers, successfully protecting the docking craft until the meeting was concluded, and led Republic Shield forces in the destruction of the Imperial vessels while the Apostate and the Raging Dragon escaped into hyperspace. (RgF309)
The vessel participated in the Battle of Blerthmore of 44:2:27, and later became part of the small group of ships in the Greeop Defence Force left behind in the Greeop Sector to hold RS territories together while the Subterrel Strike Force waged war abroad.
